Just been going through my followed dogs when I came across your update I am so happy you gave this dog a second chance of being in a loving home sometimes things are just meant to be :)

Just a little update if anyone's still checking - he's settled in very well and we've managed to get his weight down 3 kilos in 8 weeks, going for another weight check next weekend and hopefully down to suitable weight by then. He has wandered off a couple of times when the gate was left open, but doesn't go very far (found in 5 minutes or so) and luckily we don't have much traffic for him to contend with. We have been training him to go to the side of the road when cars do come by, even on the lead we do this although he is more responsive off lead! He walks very nicely on the lead and doesn't go too far when let off in the woods or on the beach and if told no when he sees rabbits he doesn't give chase! I tried him with agility at a country show at the weekend as he was showing a little interest (we don't know if he had done anything like this before), but I think he was just interested in playing with the other dog going round the course before him, although he didn't do too badly for a first time. We just hope he enjoys living with us as much as we enjoy him being here.

Arrived home with Stan about lunchtime yesterday and it's as if he's been here years. He has been brilliant with everyone that he's met, human and canine! Not met any cats yet! If you are out this way sometime Helen you should come and meet him.

Nobody claimed this lovely boy and hopefully he has found a new home x

It doesn't appear that anyone is looking for this lovely boy/girl. Would love to offer a home if no-one claims him, just got to persuade my husband that it's not too soon.....our lovely boy died just a couple of months ago.
