Best possible news for this lovely lady. Patience rewarded once again for search!
Catherine
Lisa. PD and everyone else. I have an update for you all. I am pleased to be able to report that this lovely Lurcher girl is fine and safe. She is being fostered in a home with other dogs with a view to staying permanently. She is healing well and beginning to put weight on. I am unable to provide any other further details but just wanted everyone to know that she is ok. x
ClaireC - is it possible to update this link?
Catherine
Hi Lisa, I've emailed you.
JulieH
Thanks Lisa for all you are doing for this poor dog ,I really hope you find her, keep us posted x
Lisa
Hi all, sorry only just seen the messages. We are still trying to locate where she is. I have a number to ring but they're not open until Monday so I'll keep you posted. If anyone hears anything in the meantime please let me know, lisa.samson1@btinternet.com
Just want this girl to be safe, she looks so sad.
ClaireC
Maybe the rspca are investigating the circumstances as to how she was found and whilst there is a ?possible investigation there wont be any info being given out. These are my own personal thoughts. Again i would think that as she has had a leg amputated that whilst with the rspca she will be receiving the treatment that she may still be needing. Again only my thoughts.Last edited: 2016-01-16 10:59:06 by ClaireC

Catherine - thank you I've sent you an email.
Catherine
PD, if you have some information please feel free to email me at cath.ellison@live.co.uk.
Catherine
I couldn't agree with you more Teresa, I have been trying to follow up this girl. I live locally and can offer rescue with full RBU but I have been unable to find anything out except that she hasn't been claimed and that the RSPCA have her but as Lisa discovered they are unwilling to disclose where. I am getting quite worried about this lovely girl. Lisa, are you fairly local?
teresa
loads of help offered here, it seems to be cloak and daggers trying to find her, its ridiculous that RSPCA cant say where she is! Im in Lancashire but happy to help in anyway if I can....not sure who is doing what and what can be done at the moment, but shout if help needed. Thanks.
Hollieberry
Lisa I hope you can find her and get her into rescue .Please keep us updated x
Nelsonbeagle
Lisa,or anyone, have you got a contact number/email for your rescue please? I may have some info to help you. Last edited: 2016-01-15 18:59:03 by Nelsonbeagle
ClaireC
Lisa purely a long shot but you could try Blackberry Farm rspca kennels, nr Quainton, Bucks they may know.
Lisa
Ok thank you. I rang one of the numbers above and got through to the dog warden who said she was now with the RSPCA but couldn't tell me which one she'd gone to. If anyone finds out please let me know. I'll keep trying to find out where she is xLast edited: 2016-01-14 22:20:15 by Lisa
ClaireC
Crystal i guess anything is possible!
Lisa i guess you would need to phobe rspca and probably would need to ask for coordinator for the area found in ie RG20 i would imagine. At least whilst with rspca she will have seen a vet. I hope a new home will become available if there is no owner.
Crystal Moon
Very long shot but I would imagine if the amputation was very recent there would be someone desperately looking for her, could she have been recently spayed and come off a transport run bringing dogs into the country.
Lisa
Are there any details of where she is at the moment? We would like to offer her a rescue space at our rescue. Thank you
JulieH
Fingers crossed for a happy future with lots of love x
Nelsonbeagle
She's with the RSPCA, hopefully a better life awaits her. Had two hounds with missing legs over the years so would have helped her.
ClaireC
It is possible the line has been left in to administer any drugs or in case she becomes dehydrated. I would think that she is now (once again) under the guidance of a vet.Last edited: 2016-01-14 07:01:07 by ClaireC
BorderCol
PD, are you saying that she still has a cannula in her leg under the red bandage? If that is the case she must have been found like that, so a local vet must be missing her.
Mollychops
Hopefully this lovely dog will go to a new life
ClaireC
So do I think her chances are better now out of council care.
Unknown
You can find out under the freedom of information act where she has gone. Won't pts before 7 days are up (hopefulky)but I think if she has gone to a charity her chances are good.Last edited: 2016-01-13 19:00:05
ClaireC
PD why would she be pts, because shes only got 3 legs!
teresa
Im in Lancashire but happy to take her in should she need somewhere to go other than kennels. Thanks
Nelsonbeagle
I phoned SDK this afternoon about this poor girl (possibly with an offer of foster to get her the medical help she needs) and was told she had gone to a charity but they wouldn't say which. Only to try the Council! Her line is still in. Worth trying to find which charity unless she has been pts as she needs help.

Adding to Tripawds UK pages (I am the owner and founder) Cari xxx www.Facebook.com/TripawdsUK.rescue and www.facebook.com/groups/TripawdsUK for support and rescue of three legged animals and their owners.
Jay53
The fact that she is a tripod should be added to the 'Marks and Scars' section and mentioned it in the FB post. Not everyone notices, as I know very well, since I have a tripod myself.
digbysmum
She looks so sad. I do hope an owner soon comes forward - someone must be missing her xxx
ClaireC
Suenf i guess you would need to speak to the SDK area where this girl is being kept.
apak24
Just shared with Southern Lurcher Rescue on facebook, I hope they can help.
Suenf
I could foster this gorgeous girl if it helps, I'm in the New Forest and only work one day a week, she looks so depressed, just thought a "home" may help her.
Shelagh
Shared Facebook and twitter
ClaireC
I wondered that then thought perhaps its a vet check thro DW services as maybe a bit on the lean side but also poss dehydrated!
Mollychops
Is the amputation new , as she looks likes she has had a line in
Mollychops
She looks Galgo ish
BorderCol
I think there is an organisation called Tripawd or similar, perhaps they might recognise her or help to rehome. Someone cared enough to pay for surgery at some point.
Hollieberry
Poor girl not had a good time no wonder she is sad.I hope a Greyhound/lurcher rescue will take her if not claimed.
Unknown
I didn't notice the three legs and SDK didn't mention that in their description!
ClaireC
If she hasnt got a worried owner i hope she will not be overlooked because shes only got 3 legs! This dog will have so much loyalty to share with a new loving owner in a new forever home which is no more than she deserves. X
charlie and sooty
Shared. x Totally agree JulieH and janiejewel1649. I too am sending hugs. As she does not appear to be microchipped, I really hope she hasn't been dumped x
BorderCol
Only 3 legs? Someone must recognise her.Last edited: 2016-01-12 16:16:39 by BorderCol
