Hi it's Kaz, interesting about the car hanging roung. My dog was found there (Kelly, who is now reunited with us) by the warden. Have a feeling this needs to be checked out by the police! Sounds very strange anyway! Don't give up hope yet. x x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had a thought. If you are free today, you might like to come to Freshfields Open Day with any flyers for Sadie. Around 1000+ people come through the doors plus all the staff and volunteers. People come from different areas and many are dog owners so may have spotted Sadie or will be willing to keep their eyes open.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This Private message came to me on Thursday 12 July,, I am waiting for a response with more info from the lady, and on the look out for the lady who lives in Segars Lane. the info is on dog lost going back to Oct last year as a WARNING If only i knew that then!!! Hi, Just read your entry here and thought I would pass on some information from back in October 2006. I live in Formby and a friend of mine who lives in Segars Lane made me aware of Sadie several weeks ago. I know her details are up at Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre. I do wish she would hurry and return home. On several Sunday mornings, early on and at a similar time, a friend of mine was walking her 2 dogs locally around the estate. She was spooked several times by a car following her down dead end roads or a car speeding down the road and screeching to a stop by her as soon as she appeared with her dogs. On 2 occasions, she phoned the police who immediately came out. For several Sundays, I went out first to check whether the car was lurking around and generally it was driving very slowly up and down dead end roads, presumably looking for my friend and her dogs. My friend and I are convinced the occupants of the car wanted to grab one of her dogs. The details of the car: Make and Model: Vauxhall Zafira Colour: Silver Registration number: **** ***Registered to an address in Formby (as advised by the police). Occupants of car: Two fairly chunky women. Several months later, I did spot the car one Saturday afternoon in the car park at the back of Derbyshires in Formby village. Nicole the media story sounds brilliant for the Southport area and thanks for thinking of Kobe. While at the Dogs Trust Open Day last Sunday with Mitch we asked stall holders to display a poster with pictures of North dogs on. One girl who we got talking to had a red and white BC she got the third degree at first (discreetly) on how long she had had her etc, turned out she works in a local kennels that take in strays and will be on the lookout, gave her a copy of the list. Rooting for Sadie to be back home soon. All my BC's have been trained with a ball on a rope and are obsessed with them, great way to get there attention and take their minds off any other distraction. Also they would be more attracted to a ball than they would food. I do look for Sadie when going to Halewood RSPCA and being a BC owner she would stand out in there if I seen her. Sadie had a small mole on the bottom of 1 of her eyelids, if you said to her ?Sadie Sit' she would. She also responds to the words, 'Get the Monkey' and jump up at a tree if you pointed to 1. Sadie also has 1 Love and that?s a ball, the easiest way to catch her attention. We?ve been bouncing balls all over the neighbourhood :(Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We live on the back fields in Ainsdale so this dog could have been our lost Sadie, Sadie does have a white ruff around her neck, she has more white one the one side than on the other, she has 4 white paws and the typical white tip on her tail. Sadie hated to be brushed so always had lots of tail feathers. Sadie is a shy but very affectionate dog. She had a green and black material collar with a red heart tag with her name and unfortunately my lost old phone number. She could pull on a lead, if the person didn?t know her. The lady who saw her on the field by Portland street near Cemetery st 3 weeks back said she had come up to her and was very friendly. The lady saw the photo at the RSPCA and was sure the dog was the same as in the photo.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area on lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie (go to sorting office), milkmen, binmen, taxi drivers, schools, youth clubs, pubs, mcdonalds, dog training clubs and deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Sadie.
