- A sad start to the new year as we have found Spot. His body was retrieved by a kind couple who saw him while out walking their dogs this morning.
It is very sad and dad is obviously heart broken but at least now he has closure and has been able to arrange for him to be buried.
Thank you to everyone who shared our posts and kept searching for us, we have been overwhelmed by your support and kindness xxx - 2015-12-28 20:34 Maria
- Still no news and approaching 6 weeks :( We have set up a twitter account to keep sharing the word https://twitter.com/SearchforSpot
- 2015-12-20 19:00 Maria
- We have put new posters up in the area that Spot went missing from today and hope that no one takes these down! Strange that no one at all has seen him in over a month though :(
- 2015-12-13 19:30 Maria
- Thank you x

- Bit too far to help on the ground but will share to our baby's page and put in a Thunderclap if he doesn't have one. Will tweet him and add him to the 'ScanMe roll call.....
Well done for getting him in the papers...the more publicity you can get the better.
Hang in there as I know how hard it is...Keep postering everywhere and sending you a hug xx - 2015-12-10 13:35 Maria
- The local paper has has picked up on our plight and have run a story for us http://www.exeterexpressandecho.co.uk/Exeter-woman-says-hunt-missing-dog-having/story-28340258-detail/story.html
- 2015-12-08 22:48 Maria
- We phoned as many places as we could think of, Spot is micro chipped so if taken in as lost should be traced back to my dad. We are beginning to think that someone has him and is waiting to move him on or has already done so as it is very odd to go 3 weeks with no sightings or find.
- 2015-12-08 11:43 Lin Iddon
- Maria, I'm so sorry you haven't heard anything about Spot. I spoke to you shortly after Spot disappeared. Have all vets, groomers, pet stores, petrol stations, taxi firms, local shops, rambler groups, hunts, boarding and rescue kennels been contacted and emailed a poster within a 30 miles radius initially then spreading out? Surrounding dog wardens? Very often if people find a dog they will take it to their own vet and not necessarily the nearest vet to where the dog is found. I really hope you have some news soon.
- 2015-12-03 21:23 Maria
- Thanks have just posted in those groups and it is being reported to the police officially tomorrow.
- 2015-12-03 19:23 Skywalker99
- Try www.k9tracker.co.uk, also post to Facebook pages like lostbox, pet alert, red alert, harveys army, need to get the social media going if you think stolen, and also report to police, and check selling sites like gumtree
- 2015-12-03 19:08 Maria
- How can a dog simply vanish into thin air :( No sightings for 2 weeks. Any suggestions on where else we can try? If he has been stolen what can we do to try and find him?
- 2015-11-29 21:29 Maria
- The dog found at Saltram has been reunited with his owners
- 2015-11-29 19:16 Maria

- That's great, fingers crossed for tomorrow would be worth doing scenting when there and take some posters/flyers also if there's anymore sightings k9 search dogs based in Devon the sighting needs to be 7 hours max so the quicker their contacted the better.
- 2015-11-20 18:30 Maria
- UPDATE - we have received a message from someone who has seen a Springer Spaniel wondering the road in Holne, Ashburton on Thursday who matches Spots description. We are going searching the surrounding areas tomorrow.

- I have added photos now. The dog was sent off to fetch and didn't return from the whistle. We do not know if he has gone into the river and got into trouble.
Thank you for everyones help - 2015-11-19 17:19 Lin Iddon
- Niki, any news on this one? still no photo....... they are losing valuable time x
- 2015-11-19 10:17 Niki - Area Volunteer, Devon & Somerset
- Once a photo is up then the poster can be shared online and also printed and put up in the area also in business Windows
Posters really do help because they stick in people's minds and will get more people especially other dog walkers keeping an eye out.
Have emailed scenting advice and photo request also.
scenting area will help but if raining so you may need to refresh the scent When it stops. Hope spot finds his way home is it close to home where he went missing?
