One of the dog lost helpers had arranged to meet up with Baxters Mum for a general search this morning and while she was waiting she saw Baxter in one of the fields in the valley below Mutters Moor, she saw him disappear towards a hedgerow but by the time she had crossed the field in the direction he was going there was no sign of him for her to be able to try and tempt him towards her with the food she had taken with her. Lisa, Claire and Sarah then searched the area for several hours with no joy but the posters are staying put in these heavy winds and the local farmers and business owners are aware he is still missing. The search continues.

We live in the area and walk daily around the area and in the byes - have seen his blanket and the posters. Captured our hearts SO HOPE he is found soon

There have been a few more sightings of Baxter, I will copy and paste here from what Baxters Mum has said. Baxter was sighted Thursday 26th in the Sidmouth to Otterton road in the valley area bellow Mutters Moor in a field to the right hand side. I'd also seen him on the monday 23rd on High Peak on the coastal path from Sidmouth to Ladram area but by the time I walked 1km he had gone, I was so devastated! Also a game keeper thinks he saw him in that area too. So it seems to me he's in that area?

Strong possibility that Baxter was seen near the Bye in Sidmouth 2 days after he went missing. The Bye is a dog walking area in Sidmouth . He does know this area as he visits this area when visiting family in the area with his owner.

shared to several FB sites. Does anyone know if vets in surrounding areas have been contacted as well as local? If people find a dog they don't always take it to the nearest vet, they take it to their own vet..... find out where the dog warden takes any strays and go have a look. Contact local hunts, they are invaluable - they have access to land owners, farmers, and keepers so can spread the word very quickly to a huge number of people. contact details are on the internet. Posters are invaluable! never leave home without a stack, give them to every dog walker, anyone who will accept one. Put one in your car window. Ask petrol stations if you can leave some on the counter. I hope you find him soon. Please keep this page up to date with any info x

SEARCH PARTY REQUEST: Hi Everyone, the Baxter Coleman family will be meeting at Pynes Farm gate entry on Friday 20th November at 0900 to walk the south west coastline from the east side of the Otter river. We plan to search Budleigh to Sidmouth looking for our little buddy Baxter if any of you wish to join us for part or for all of it with your dogs, we would love to have you along?

Just spoken to owner - he is on hols abroad and back tomorrow, cutting hols short. Have confirmed colour - Baxter is a liver and white springer.
