Sent you pm Sue. This will be understandable because it could well be the times they around early and they go deep where he could be passing through. Make a note of times from them when he being seen start a feeding station in that area but it has to be the same people only doing this. Will send you pm with further help x

Lots of searching early and late yesterday and this morning. We are not seeing him but the deerstalkers are, but he is running from them.

He Will be appearing early in the morning and late at night when it dark and quiet. It is still promising that he is staying in the area and as long as not forced to go away he will continue to. They are sturdy little things as this link will show you and hopefully give you encouragement.......http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=89787#.VjqX7n7hDIU

I am so glad Richie has been sighted and that people around will be sensible and take advice from Mollie and will's mum. Once a sheltie goes into survival mode they are very difficult to catch. Watching Richie closely. He needs to be kept in the same place and then a feeding station set up.

I wonder whether there is somewhere food can be left for him, to encourage him to at least stay in the same area until maybe his owners can get there. I'm afraid Shelties are such one man dogs it won't be easy for someone else to catch him unless he gets really hungry or can be shut in somewhere. Stay safe little man.

I've been up there about 4 hours today at various times with no sightings. I walked around and around at the back of the Estate Yard and Thunderdell Lodge and a couple of other areas but no sign of little Ritchie at all. I spoke to the deerstalkers too and they confirmed that he was SIGHTED this morning to the rear of the Yard and Lodge. The deerstalkers tried calling him to them but he wouldn't come. I asked that if he approached them at the yard where they work if they would make themselves small and turn side-on to him, and entice him with food rather than call - they agreed. Will be back first light tomorrow - everything crossed! xLast edited: 2015-11-04 19:19:22 by Mollie & Will's Mum

Have postered and spoken to a quite a few people today and apparently Ritchie was SIGHTED by one of the deerstalkers currently working at Ashridge. He was headed away from Monument Drive, along the main road towards Dagnall. It's not clear how far down the road he was. Owners live quite a few miles away and only the husband drives. If anyone spots Richie - DO NOT CHASE HIM turn your back on him, drop some food it you have some with you walk slowly away and ring one of the contact numbers.

SIGHTED 7.30am yesterday by the road at Thunderdell Cottages (on left coming up from Berko, just before you get to Monument Drive). By the time I'd parked and got back there, he'd gone. Good news is he's stayed in the area. Bad news is the road. There are wood open garages outside the cottages which would make great shelter for him. Back up there this morning at first light. No sighting but spoke to Rangers, a lovely lady from Thunderdell Cottages and the people at Brownlow Cafe. Now we have DL link have shared on FB and will try and go back up later with posters. x
