Mary, thank you so much for the details, glad I'm wearing waterproof mascara! So happy for the owner, equally really feel for the elderly lady, so many people suffer in these situations. Welcome home Buddy! ♡

Welcome home Buddy.
Turtle this is the facebook post from the owner:-

Hi everyone, just to say thankyou so much for support, help and relenless sharing to get my Buddy home, he has been gone for 1 1/2 years so never give up......I got a call from petlog to tell me that someone had tried to register his microchip, and flagged up as been stolen.......i waited for contact from woman which did not come, as we were not allowed to know her details due to data protection, so we asked the police to intervene, and i must admit they have been fantastic..,They went to the home of an elderly woman, who had Buddy, she said she bought him off a male about 8 months ago, (probably the one who stole him) because someone had been badly treating him, they said the woman was broken hearted, but at the end of the day the police said he was our animal, He was in Newcastle area, HE IS HOME AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS......X Trying to get a pic of him on here but for some reason it is not letting me, but i will sort it.....I have been in tears most of the day when i look at his little face, I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and have just gone through chemo, and get my surgery on wednesday, this has given me a massive boost to get well....Thankyou all you fantastic caring people...xxx
