Run free Rosie - everyone tried so hard to find you before it was too late. Dorset Beagles were so determined to find you. Sadly another lost to the railways.
The sightings of a beagle on the Heath were not Rosie but of a 15 year old beagle that was left to roam. We tried to catch it but the owner eventually came along.

I've just been told by fellow Doglost searcher that poor Rosie hasn't made it and was found on the railway at Hamworthy. Run free at rainbow bridge dear little Rosie, big hugs to owner Jan x

reports of a possible sighting of a lone beagle on the red brick path on Canford Heath that leads up to the cemetry which is not far from the sightings on Lower Blanford Road

Been round Upton park to holes bay tonight and no sign of Rosie. No definite sightings as far as I know for a few days. I have created a map of the area here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zKWtr-jkCTS0.k9MyObrd4L8E . rosiebeagle do you have any more info I could add to this map?

Update from the Dorset Beagle Club ......
Rosie update: although I was unable to be there to day the event we have all been waiting for is here. Jenny Tiga Brown has arrived this afternoon and her and Jan Mount were straight out on a scent.

The trail took them through the park to the path out to holes bay. There have been recent sightings here so another piece of the puzzle falls together.
A interesting turn had them following holes bay along to the new KFC along past B & Q and they followed the road all the way along the Blandford road past Burger King and continued on towards broadstone.
We received a call today from a lady who lives on lower Blandford road who claims a sighting of a lone beagle on Wednesday and barking or braying only a day or two ago. Tiga hesitated in this location before pushing on into the village.

With the light fading and night pushing in we have abandoned the trail for tonight and will push on down the old roman road back towards UCP tomorrow.
It is clear that Rosie is making loops around her point of disappearance and all our hopes are on picking up the trail tomorrow.

Best of luck to everyone involved and thank you for everyone's continued support

Rosies owner here! There have been a few potential sightings but nothing 100%, however we're lucky enough to have a tracker with sniffer beagles coming down from Kent today. Here's hoping they can save the day and bring Rosie back. Thanks for all your continued support, it means the world to us and here's hoping we can get our little pickle back home ASAP x

No luck with the drone sadly, though some signs Rosie may still be in the area she went missing from picked up by a lovely ladies local search dog who tracked persistently round the immediate location and back to the area she shot off in. Reports also of two gents trying to catch what may have been Rosie in the park 2 nights ago.
The family remain positive and are maintaining a round the clock watch for her. Local friends family and helpers are giving tremendous support helping with the search as are the Park authorities and a joining farm. Many thanks to you all, let's hope we have some good news very soon

Reports yesterday of a small white and brown animal close to the area Rosie ran from. Family were doing a BBQ in this area until late last night in the area and 'something' deep in the undergrowth is taking food from within the bushes but had not shown itself by the time I left around 11pm.
Family , friends and local volunteers have been out searching both the area she disappeared in and the route home but no confirmed sighting as yet.
Plans for this morning are another search with a wonderful gent who has a drone.
everything crossed for better news today. Sadly I'm unable to help today as will be out of area but if no news today will be available Sunday x

Everyone in the area is doing a great job searching and postering but no confirmed sightings so far. Owners are desperate for news so please, any news at all, no matter what time, please call on the numbers listed.

Have just shared this with Hillside Vets in Corfe Mullen who have posted it on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hillside-Veterinary-Centre/124657147585232?fref=ts
Someone has posted that they think a beagle was found in Poole yesterday - no details though
rosiebeagle
Hi Wookie's Mum, yes Rosie is chipped. Going to do another ring around of all the vets today, have been calling most days to keep them on the look out but doesn't hurt to call again. Thanks for keeping an eye out though x

I went out this morning with our dog and walked from West Way/Roman Road on the Roman Road/Bridleway that goes to Upton House, down to the old railway bridge and on a bit further then right on to the Heath and round in a big circle to the end of the path near the bypass then back along the old Roman road/Bridleway, no sightings and only saw 2 posters at the beginning of the gravel Bridleway (on a Roman Road) do we know yet if she's chipped incase someone's found her and taken her to one of the local vets? Vets in Moorland Way, Upton & Pets at Home are probably the nearest, out of hours vets in North Road Parkstone
rosiebeagle
Hi from Rosies owner. Thanks EVERYONE for all their help. Still no luck, although potential sighting near the hand carwash in Upton yesterday morning, and potentially heard her last night in Upton. We are desperately looking for a dog tracker who can help find her, one tracker is only available on Monday and the others need a clear sighting within 8 hours. All help is greatly appreciated, thank you so much. Because we live in Broadstone - Twin Oaks - we're wondering if she is trying to make her way home along Roman Road etc.

Have been to Upton Heath this morning starting at Beacon Road and making our way to the railway bridge about half a mile from Upton Country Park before heading back towards Broadstone on the Roman Road. Will go back later today if Rosie hasn't turned up and take some posters as a lot of dog walkers use the Heath.

Still no news of Rosie . Extensive searches have been undertaken at Upton Country park itself day and night since she went missing.
There has been a report of a possible sighting at 10.30 this morning near the hand car wash on Poole Road, Upton, though reports did say that there was someone walking some way off from the dog seen there so is unconfirmed.
However this is close to Upton Park and near to access points to the Castleman Trailway which leads primarily off road to Broadstone just a couple of miles away where she lives.
We have been out this evening and placed posters at
Access points to Upton Heath and the Roman Road / Castleman Trailway and also by the Coop shop by the possible sighting. Added a couple at entrances to car Parks at Upton Park itself.
Rosies owner does walk her along this trail but not when going to Upton Park however it's very possible she may be trying to find her way home.
I have urged that posters are put up both ends and along route as there don't appear to be any in evidence.

Have been searching this morning and this evening for Rosie at Upton Country Park along with others. I noticed that alerts have been sent out to various postcodes but I didn't get an alert myself and I'm in the BH15 area. Only when I saw Rosie's owner this morning did I know she was missing and I literally live across the road from Upton Country Park. Please can I suggest you send alerts to all BH15 helpers. Hoping you are found soon Rosie safe and sound.
Wookie's Mum (HLC)
Have just got back from walking round Upton House/Country Park with Wookie, spoke to a few people and people with beagles helping look for Rosie, spoke to Rosie's owner who is obviously distraught and at the picnic benches where Rosie ran from, they have a dog blanket and bowl on the floor at their car and her son slept in the car last night, I'll pop back down later

Shared on Beagles UK - a group of beagles are out now hoping to attract Rosie back after she chased a deer yesterday afternoon in the park with no sightings since.

General email advice sheets sent with advice to contact the wardens again this morning and all local vets.
The family, friends and helpers have been searching the area since she went missing at around 2.30pm yesterday and have stayed in the park overnight but to my knowledge no known sightings.
Advised to poster well as there are so many access points to the park from surrounding housing estates
