Too steal puppies is one thing, but to assault a woman especially an older lady is something else. These people are SCUM and need to be caught and brought to justice. Hope the owner is ok and that these puppies are found soon xx

Hi Jaycey, no updates from the Police at the moment but they are continuing to investigate the attack and theft of the puppies. I'm sure we will hear when they have something to tell us.
Jaycey
Have the Police got any updates on these two babies?

Thank you for all your comments.
csquaredb & Jaycey: I am passing on the links to Gumtree ads but the Police say it will be hard to identify the pups.
I have suggested that they ask their owners if either of them have any distinguishing marks.
Also if they give anyone visiting the pups advertised for sale they could take something that has a strong scent of their mother and litter sisters. If it is one of the stolen puppies they will probably react strongly to that item.
springerlover: Thank you, that will be a great help.
I do not know if the pups are microchipped.
Jaycey

I have registered these 2 stolen puppies and have taken the information directly from the Sussex Police post: http://www.sussex.police.uk/whats-happening/latest/news-stories/2015/07/24/search-for-two-men-who-stole-puppies-from-lancing-woman

"Police are searching for men who stole two puppies from a Lancing woman who had advertised them for sale.
At about 8.40pm on Thursday (23 July) the two men, one in his 30's and one in his 60's, along with two young children who appeared to be under 10, called at the home of the 50-year old woman in Hurstfield, Lancing.
They came to view two Yorkshire Terrier puppies that were advertised for sale. However the men then grabbed the puppies and ran from the house, getting into a small blue vehicle which drove off.
In running from the house one of the men assaulted the woman, but she was not seriously hurt and did not need medical treatment.

Detective Constable Laura Webb said; "If you saw these men in Lancing that evening, or have seen the puppies since, or have any other information, please contact us on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1584 of 23/07"

The puppy in the photograph is litter sibling.

Sorry to see that 2 PUPPIES STOLEN is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (89892)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
