Maybe each of the coordinators in different areas could maybe put dogs from other areas in their free ads? We have the East Anglian version but I assume there are different ones across the country? Just a thought because our wrry is we have had lots of local advertising and publicity but what if they are not in Norfolk? MLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If anyone is near this area please look out for them and if possible put posters up. I amgoing to put posters up tomorrow, as unable to get any copies today. Posters have been in the area previously.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Policeman attached to investigations now. He is examining delivery company links Please remain vigilant everywhere until this link is proved or otherwise or of course dogs are safely hom. I continue to alert more and more organisations and negotiate with police and delivery firm in question. We will NOT BE MOVED! No I don't Vicky It will mean that they are made difficult to sell etc and hot to keep so eventually they will either let them go or contat you for a reward. Someone will spot them eventually and tell us and that is their fear. Also if rehomed the new owner may then come forward. Not advertising has no advantages whatsoever. We have no choice. Don't lose heart. I know just how low and tired you are feeling but look at some of the reuniteds They are sometimes a long time-much longer than Coco has been missing. We have to keep on. Try to get a 'team' around you to share the sales coming up-friends, family, dog lost helpers?? Any offers please? Keep positive!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am sure an extra reminder will do no harm at all Mills because I cannot be sure exactly who the owners have contacted. Vicky has been working tirelessly and extremely effectively for 2 weeks now. Mandy, bless her, is only 10 weeks away from giving birth to her 2nd child and has one of 14 mths already and was SO tired last night from a total day of working on this. She then had a bad dream on top. today she is at the N and N for anti natal. But she is organising family and friends too. It is quite hard not to cross trails at times BUT I see no harm whatsoever in overdoing it. Better safe han sorry please do send them posters-that would be really helpful. Thanks to your brave son too-bless him. Running in the snow? Love it! Did he put up lots of posters very close to the site too? If not maybe tomorrow dare I suggest?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please take up the gauntlet today all you helpers out there. Time is so important.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The message removed that Vicky posted was about the fact that we have identified the delivery company seen in my lane the day Judy was stolen and asked the polce to follow up. However since they are not too proactive or even motivated in general- of course there are some really good ones too whose hands are tied by the sytem they are forced to follow-I have contacted the company myself and they are doing their own internal investigations and will get back to me within 48 hours to give thier results. It is a possibility since our lane is very quiet and leads only to allotments and bridle way and this del van was in the road 20 mins b4 she went and the neighbour who saw it then left for 15 mins and when he returned Judy was gone. Did he come back for her once sighted as he made his del or is he a totally innocent chap just doing his work? Hopefully we will find out soon. Like I say 'Miss Marple eat your eart out. Anyone want to start a dog detective agency? Joke honest. Desperately trying to retire here but less pushed at work I believe!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have posted out the '3 dog poster and hand out size leaflet' to most of my address book or contacts since I have had an e mail address! That includes all the organisations I e mailed re Judy when she was stolen and friends/acquaitances or just organisations I have contacted in the past across the UK though obviously many are local across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs etc but also sent to London, Wales, Devon, Midlands, etc However I bet you got a few contacts in your address book??? Get these posters mailed out to anyone and everyone PLEASE. Norfolk most urgent but IF stolen could conceivably be anywhere. TOO HOT TO HANDLE is bywordLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Never say as much as we would wish but great publicity and warning for other owners too. Fingers crissed it will bring results. Spoke to Mrs Star today and her case is not going to court desoite the fact that the dog thief gave himself up in the end after the dogs got to hot to handle but the police decided NNOT to take him to court. What do we have to do? Scream and scream and scream I think keep on girls and boys!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Vicky asked me to listen to Rokker radio since she could not get a signal. I did this and contacted them Unfortunately yesterdays programme was an outside broadcast but the man on the phone promised he would mention to the producer and maybe get on next week-meantime perhaps the message may get through locally anyway via the producer being informed? We live in hope. I have today sent the letter to the Chief constable of Norfolk and copied to Jayne and Vicky. I have also copied it to the EDP reporter hopefully doing the story I will chase up the delivery van enquiries today. Put posters up in the area on lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Coco. I have put up some posters locally and also alerted Fly who is going to help too. Spoken to owners again and they have done absolutely everything you can do and still no sightings despite massive publicity and contacting everyone they should contact-dog wardens, game keepes, farmers, local population, dog rescue pounds etc been on radio Question is since tagged and chipped, unless collar or tag come off somebody MUST know they belong to someone else and have a number to contact. So owners have pointed this out to police but polce will not do anything. grhh-had same lack of help with Judy and police-in fact I have put in a complaint! Only other answer is they are playing and hunting? Owners feel they are type of dogs that WILL go to people happily though-not run away. Ihave strongly suggested ads in local press and the owners are happy to follow this up. More ideas please? Any offers?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I spoke with owners this a.m and we discussed what has happened so far and publicity steps taken. Posters are up and around lcal villages. Police and dog wardens have been alerted. The owners are going to e mail local vets and hopefully get in EDP It has been on radio Norfolk. I also advised how to get a list of local pounds. I will also contact Fly as my nearest helper when Judy was missing recently. I will put up posters round here. I think since, like Judy, there are no reported sightings, that these dogs, again, like Judy are safe somewhere but somewhere that the person does not realise who they belong to. In our case the people who saved Judy informed the police but a different station and they did sweet FA about it. So even though there was a report at North Walsham and Bethel St nothing happened. I will also look out all the places and numbers i rang and put on various other sites I used re Judy. I will keep liaising with owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
