Thank you all for your shares and support.

Thanks Owl for really helpful advice ... We have to consider all possibilites and act accordingly. Hopefully, now that Honey's owner is home we can move the search forward.
DogLostOwl
Based on years of experience with Doglost, I would strongly advise that we consider all possibilities and do not necessarily assume that Honey has been stolen. It is important to poster widely AND continue to search on the ground. Senior dogs can and do wander off unexpectedly and act out of character especially if poorly or unsettled. Only last weekend I found an elderly terrier trotting along the road. I called the mobile number on her tag, to find that her owner was on hols and little dog was staying with friends. She had escaped unnoticed because no one expected it. So please will everyone in area keep eyes peeled especially in undergrowth and long grass, and around anywhere that food scraps may be. Thank you.

Please help find Honey

There is a strong chance she has been taken or theft by finding. Honey was undergoing veterinary treatment and needs her medication. If anyone knows anything please come forward, you can phone the DogLost line in complete confidence, we just want Honey back where she belongs and to get her medication. Please do the right thing and get this doggie home.

@ Thorrocks0 I have emailed again and forwarded your tel numbers to owner,so they can ring you. Or you can phone the number on the posters to help (they have your 1st name).
Thorrocks0
Bobble, please call again and leave a contact number. It would be good to talk about this.

There are often office workers walking the river bank there, not to say the huge police presence and has Budgdens petrol station been postered?

Or did she go missing on the other side of the wharf or Bristol Road?

The fencing into the industrial units from the car parks up to the wharf is so good that my young patterdale cant get through or under, and he tries, so I am fairly sure that a pug wouldnt manage it. It is also very open so i would think taking her would not go unnoticed by the person walking the dog but the river bank itself has long dense grass and reeds about 10 feet in depth. I imagine a pug may get tangled in that.

I do not know the other side of the wharf into Pawlett but think it is just riverbank walking along grazing pasture.

I dont really know the other side of Bristol Road by the Admirals Landing either, but think there is building work ongoing and a main line railway.

I so hope she is soon recovered but in the meantime i am available to poster, if some are sent to me as no printer, and search for her if i know where she was lost.

Thorrocks0 I did leave you a voicemail, but email bounced back, I'll try again in case I typed it wrong. Your little dog was before I was covering the whole of Somerset and is now on my radar.

Honey was lost in the Dunball area of Bridgwater, which if I am not mistaken is the end where the Police HQ, the dual carriageway and M5 junction is close by. It is a very busy area for traffic.

I am afraid i still have no clear idea of where to start looking.

I would suggest that you view No: 23333 and contact and send posters/flyers to the people that I did. In this area that is important in my opinion. I also searched far and wide, attended terrier/dog shows and handed flyers to as many people as possible.

I am happy to help but the point she went missing at would be a good start.

Please feel free to ring me, leave a message if i'm not there and i will get back to you.

Help needed looking and postering please (Thurrocks0 - I'll be in touch soon).

Hi Thorrocks0,
We're currently on holiday in the USA, Honey went missing whilst out in a walk with my father in law. She's not the type to run off but will go to anyone. Apparently one minute she was there the next she was gone he searched most the night and the next day and there was no sign of her. I've asked my father in law to get in touch as I'm away. Thank you for taking the time to post your message.
Thorrocks0
I saw a pug yesterday and i can't remember whether it was in Cannington or by Liddle in Bridgwater. It looked mature and was with a middle aged lady. I noticed it because pugs are fairly rare in these parts! It would have been between 12.00 and 3.00pm.

There are no details of how this dog went missing at all and i live not far from there. My terrier went missing not far from there 5 years ago. I tried phoning this morning but no reply.

My contact details are on Doglost No 23333 if you would like a bit of help searching.

Sorry to see that HONEY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (89766)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.

  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
