Oh no. Thank you for letting everyone know Rodway. I am so sorry to see this sad news.
You worked so hard to find Teddy and I'm so sorry to hear that you did not have a happy ending. It's always hard when your dog is lost like this but I'm sure he would thank you for the lovely life that he had with you.

Its with regret that I have sad news about Ted. He was recovered from a neighbouring swimming pool at the weekend. We are broken hearted. We would like to thank everybody who shared his missing posts, put up posters and kept a keen eye out for the little chap, you have all been incredible and we can’t thank you enough for all you did in helping. Rodway: This was posted on the Doglost West Sussex Fbk page yesterday
"LOST DOG!!!! Border of East Sussex and West Sussex! Dog running panicky from Plawhatch Farm towards East Grinstead Lane. Ginger, medium sized dog, short coat with collar, collie looking!! Spent half an hour trying to catch it while keeping it safe on the road but it vanished into the bushes on the right hand side of the road! Last seen 6:30pm"
I have asked if the dog looked like Teddy but no reply yet. Wouldn't have thought he looked like a collie but sometimes hard to tell when a dog is running .. has to be worth checking as colour is correct. Please keep an eye on the post for an answer as I will not be able to be on Fbk tomorrow. Best of luck.

I've walked Threales Lane today, the fields further up and also the fields north of Hadlands Lane... also other parts of West Chiltington during the week, no sightings. Can see lots of posters around, I'm telling everyone I meet. Everything crossed Teddy will soon be home x

Took my morning dog walk up Threals Lane again and into the fields but no sign of little Teddy. Hoping very much that he's back soon.

There were several posters in the wood, I shall go and replace them later. There are also posters all around West Chiltington, pubs, post office, Nisa, Village hall, footpath signs and post boards. There are more posters in Horsham Arundel etc His missing details are on Facebook, twitter and later some advertising sites. He has been reported to all the local vets, police, boarding kennels, day centres, and dog wardens in Sussex. I have alerted the local farmers and people who shoot the surrounding land. I am repeatedly calling everyone above daily, just to make a nuisance of myself and double check. If anyone reading these messages would like to print off Ted's missing poster and put them up anywhere they feel necessary, I would be very grateful. Thank you

Hi, I live in Haglands Lane and took my dog out early this morning into the copse behind Threals Lane but no sign I'm afraid. I will continue to have a look each morning. I noticed a poster on the finger post there but haven't seen any others yet. Do you need help distributing more posters/leaflets?

A dog was handed in to Arun vets in Ashington yesterday which almost matched Teddy's description, but sadly wasn't him.

I have just been talking with Teddy's owner, he went missing late Saturday night when he went out for his last wee. Melissa has contacted DWs, kennels, police, vets, farmers and neighbours. She has been out loads of times with her other dog searching the copse next to her house and the surrounding area. Posters and leaflets will be going out tomorrow. There was a young couple camping in the copse on Saturday night - if anyone local knows of this couple or has any info please can they contact owner on the above number. Am very hopeful that Teddy will be home soon xx

Sorry to see Teddy is missing. I walked down Threals Lane yesterday, middle of the day and into the woods either side of bridleway. If Teddy is still missing and you think he may have gone into these woods, please contact me as I had an incident in there yesterday with my dog. 07747 766699. Hope Teddy is soon back home x
