Everyone will soon be seeing mikkas title changing from "Mikka Pet Detective Award" to Area Co-ordinator Wales.I feel very privileged to have jenni on my team, I know she is not based in Wales, but she has kindly agreed to help me, and I?m sure we will be getting a lot more of the welsh dogs back home, with jenni on board!!!! So anyone with lost dogs in wales feel free to contact BC or Mikka, thanks Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Been past the house today and finally saw the dog in question. It is a blue Neopolitan mastiff so even though its a similar colour and has a wrinkly face unfortunately its not Crinkle. Back to square one now i'm afraid Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Been past the house a couple of times yesterday and today but seen no people or any dogs. i told the person who breed Crinkle the lastest last night and he said the bloke that i think has crinkle has a blue neopolitan mastiff. I hope that isn't true and this dog is Crinkle but i won't know until i see the dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I think the dog is Crinkle because its turned up about the same time he went missing. I've recently got it in all the papers with the help of keelah and we are going to be doing an update soon. I had another phone call last night from someone who has seen a dog that he thinks is Crinkle on the drive of a very successful local businessman. The man himself is a delivery driver and was delivering there so he has anonymously told me the address and the name of the person which i know of but not on a personal level. Anyway this bloke is very dodgey and totally connected to the people who i was told had him at the beginning of the week. To make things fit even more this mans business sub-contracts to caerphilly county borough council!!!! And i am 90% certain his workmen were the ones at the back of the house the day Crinkle was stolen. My dad works for the council and is checking today to see if it was his men who were there. Unfortunately i have parents evening tonight but my cousin is going to walk past his property a few time to see if she can see him and i am going there tomorrow. I am so sure this is Crinkle and desperate to get out of work but i can't. I don't want to spook this bloke so he is moved on again but it is so hard not to just go in like a bull at a china shop.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Don't give up- poster all over the area, send to Royal Mail sorting office, taxis, bus stations, garages, supermarkets, youth clubs, pubs, McDonalds, vets, pet shops etc. Put in local press too, ring head office for advice if you need to talk to someone. If they said the dog was blue are you saying it could not be Crinkle but another stolen dog? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I had some news on what i think was Crinkle today unfortunately it hasn't lend to his return. My uncles partner had told my uncle 5wks ago that some really dodgey people she knows were 'giving' away a blue shar pei. My uncle didn't want to 'upset'me by mentioning it and so the message was not passed on. When i bumped into her today and she told me the story i was horrified i hadn't known sooner. The Dog a was STOLEN shar pei and when the message got back to these dodgey people who had had it passed to them they agreed that they would give the dog back if it was mine. Fair play though she took me to the area where she thought the dog was and was infact putting herself in high risk as these people are extremely dangerous. After hours of calling and looking over garden walls in the rain she agreed to go to a dodgey house but insisted that i didn't go with her for my own safety as i was too emotional. The dog had been past on two weeks ago about the time Keelah had got the stories in the paper. This dog was said to have been a blue, and we don't even know if it was a dog or a bitch but i am so devastated. We are know trying to carefully trace the dogs but people aren't forth coming with the info now so we will have to wait and see. At this time i'm feeling so disheartened.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have taken three different dogs into my vets in the last 3 weeks, each time i saw a different vet, so none of the vets knew me, and none of them scanned the dogs to see if they were chipped. They take your money quick enough for the microchipping, so why dont they offer a back up service. I really hope Crinkle is found soon, and that his microchip eventually brings him home where he belongs xxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly some vets do react that way. However, I have noticed that a number of vets now put up notices to say that they will scan all new animals. Perhaps you could call back the vets and tell them that, that is now common practice.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

After the newspaper went out yesterday i have received two phone calls telling me of a black Shar pei in cardiff. This morning i rang all the vets in the area and was completely disheartened when they told me that they would not scan dogs that came in unless they were reported as strays becuase it went against the data protection act??? Apparently by scanning a dog the owner would become upset and feel accused of stealing the dog and the practice didn't want their clients to loose faith in them... If the vet scanned any of my animals when i went in as routine i would be pleased they are checking the animal is with their rightful owner. Otherwise what is the point of us having our pets micro chipped?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks to Keelah's help stories of Crinkles disappearance has gone out in the south wales echo and Ryhmney valley express tonight. It shows pictures of him and explains how he went missing. Already i have had a phone call from a lady who recently saw someone walking a black shar pei in the Roath area on cardiff, on albany rd. The kind lady has given me a list of vets in the area for me to phone has Crinkle is micro chipped. By chance a friend of mine is working in albany rd tomorrow so he is going to put posters in every shop he sees. Obviously this person walking the dog could be genuine but has this is the only lead i have had i must find out. I plead to any dog lost helpers in the area to keep their eyes open and please contact me with any information even if it doesn't seem that important. The lady who rang me was hesitant whether to ring or not in case she was giving me false hope but i am extremely grateful.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
