I am so sorry that Sweep has not turned up yet. I really thought he would have been found as he has quite distinctive markings. My one thought is that he may be on a farm somewhere or somewhere where he is not being taken out in public. He must be being cared for and not on the loose. Believe me we are all still looking out for him and I feel sure he will be home one day soon. There have been some fantastic results on Doglost recently even with dogs which have been missing for a long time so don't lose hope ever - we are all behind youLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Finished!!!!! Just need the results now. We spent a holiday staying on a farm not very far from the owners last year so know the area quite well - not a place you would expect to hear about dog theft. I really feel for you and really hope for some good news very, very soonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have so far emailed some 50 vets in Devon, another 30 or so to do - did not realise one County had so many but hope to finish today. I would love to think it brings some results. I do think someone is taking care of Sweep, just to know who and where!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Glynafon that would be very helpful. Owners live over two hours drive from Liskeard and as farmers are unable to go there on a very regular basis so all help appreciated., also due to family bereavement owners are not available for a couple of days At the moment we are trying to e-mail Sweeps details to as many places as possible in the area, thanks for suggestions we will include them on list, We have been given info by the medium who found Suki from ex9, and although i cannot go into details there is a connection between Sweeps disappearance and workmen from Liskeard.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Lisa, THe medium that you consulted has just been very successful in reuniting Suki from EX9. Although i have always been a bit sceptical of mediums she was spot on in this case!!!! I suggest that we concentrate on the Liskeard area again, I know that you are having a problem with internet but would it be possible for your daughter to take some time to email Sweeps details to as many places as possible in and around Liskeard, schools ,council, businesses, post office etc, etc. Local contacts are still looking out for Sweep but the more people aware of her the better.xxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have left posters with the Pet Shop in Torrington town centre and also with the person who looks after the big Notice Board outside the Library this morning. Both have promised to put them up. Maybe too late if this isn't Sweep/has been reunited with owner, but I thought it was worth doing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh so Sweep (perhaps) has been sighted again in Gt.Torrington? I've been up there regularly since my last post, but haven't seen any sign - do we know exactly where this dog has been seen running loose in town? So we can poster the exact area maybe?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from Sweeps owner- Thank you very much Stevie much appreciated and will contact field centre asap. Much praise for Devon and Cornwall police who have made extensive inquiries over Sweeps disappearance (cant go into details) but can add that they also went to investigate the similar dog in a blue collar who was seen running loose in Great Torrington, this dog has been around for a couple of weeks but not on the day police went, however dog warden has also had reports of it from local people hope that it shows itself again and either it is Sweep or if not can be returned to it's owner or taken to rescue Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to hear about Sweep...maybe I can help. I have a regular stall at the Kingsbridge Farmer's market, which is this Saturday. I shall print off some of your posters and display them. I am the plant stall next to the car park, so everyone walks past me, so the poster will be noticed by lots of locals and visitors alike. If you have anything else you want me to display then it off. Have you put posters up at the Field Study Centre? The wardens there may have seen something or may keep a lookout in the reserve, ask for Eddy or Nick.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi to everyone from Lisa owner of Sweep. Thanks so much to all of you for your messages of support. They are very much appreciated. As most of you know, I do not have good internet connections from home, so am sending this message from my daughters computer. I am praying that someone, somewhere will recognise my Sweep and she will be returned home safely. A big thank you once again to all who are helping to look for her. Please continue to look for her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has consulted a well reputed medium who has given her a christian name and the name of a road in Liskeard in Cornwall where she says that Sweep is. the owner has visited the road and knocked on some doors, no one had seen the dog but took her number in case they do. Owner would really appreciate it if any helpers in or near Liskeard would keep an eye out. If you can help please call Doglost or pm meLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I spoke to Sweeps owner last night, she is in a very poor area for internet access (no broadband) so I offered to post for her. She is going out postering today in the Totnes and Dartmouth areas, if there are any other dog lost helpers in the TQ area any help would be greatly appreciated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Confusion over postal code will be because locally Torrington is known without the Great!!! Will get onto this - and keep an eye out around the area. Will be going to Bideford via Torrington in the morning. JanLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as admin receive a picture and posters are e-mailed to helpers posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or some who knows Sweep. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
