It seems Bazil's tail may be docked. Owner has said it is not Bazil as has a long tail, but thanks for posting nickyjm X
Also the one found in Launceston was apparently reunited with its owner John, thanks x

12th Mar 2015, Found dog - Jack Russell boy, Merchants Quay, Launceston, PL15 7QA
Found a white/tan Jack Russell dog running on the road between Tesco's Launceston & the Retail Park (Hurdon Road) this morning. Collar but no ID or microchip, left with Castle Vets.

Bazil's owner Philip is having trouble logging into this site on his iphone "keeps asking the same question over and over again". He says the dog in the link Skyninchar added is not Bazil, as too old and has a brown tail. He wants to let people know he is still hoping to get Bazil back and asked to thank everyone who has shared and posted for him.

I have spoken to the owner, there is no news on Bazil. The dog they thought it could have been ( as per link in Ferggal's post 1354hrs 15/2) turned out not to be him, although he looked identical.

Dont give up hope! We found our Dachshund after 5 days down a rabbit hole - found by the local shoots very clever gun dog (spaniel) - he was very dehydrated and disoriented with a sore side where he'd been squashed - but thanks to our lovely vet is now fine - if you know anyone with a gun dog with a good nose its worth asking them to come and help you look - hope you get him home soon - I know how upsetting it is not knowing where they are - good luck - Tessa

Bazil ran off on a walk with owner & friends in wooded area. An extensive search has been made. It is possible he may have gone down a rabbit hole, but they have checked as many as they can with no sign.
Have emailed advice sheets. Dog warden has been informed.
