Harry - i read elsewhere that you thought gypsies might be involved. We may have some contacts in this respect and i have asked one of our helpers to take a quick look here to see if she can put the word out. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

she also did not have a collar on at the time, so she could possibly be wearing anything.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

more details about fudge:- she has a long wirey coat due to it being winter this might sound horrible but she is slighty cross-eyed and has a very high pitch bark. if you would try and stroke her she would roll over. she also has quite obviously had pups and she has a little scar from where she was spayed. thanks for all the advice and help everyone.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has PM'd me and my sighting was not Fudge - the dog I saw was too big for a start. Neither was it the larger JRT in Essex - I checked the pic and it was not as talll or dark. So, back to the transit van possible lead I think, and posters, of course. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The all too familiar transit van. Get posters to all livestock markets, especially Southall Horse market. Also alert police stations & dog wardens as they might well have someone do the rounds at the market and they can keep an eye out for her. Also put up posters everywhere, garages too, immediately, before they get chance to sell her on, advertising cash reward for safe return. I know its wrong because it encourages them but at least that way you might get her back. Rooting for her to be reunited quickly. l'll be looking out here too as Fudge and Buster our own missing dog could well be on the same "trade" route. ~ SooeyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't think this was Fudge....but...I saw a stop his car and 'rescue' a Jack Russel this morning on New Road in Chatham. Was Fudge wearing a collar? Because this dog definitely had a collar on, the man grabbed it by the callar and tried to pull it towards the car. I think the man was picking up the dog because it was on the lose on a main road, but I can't be certain. He looked as though he had just pulled over and I saw him get out. I turned around and returned to where he was as I was driving in the other direction. I saw him drive off up Chatham Hill but could not see if the dog was in there as he had a screen up in the back of the car, although there was no sign of the dog where it had been before. I did take the number plate just in case...The reason I don't think it was her is because I thought the dog in question had more dark patches but if she has these and they are not clear on the pic please let me know and I will provide the number plate to see if we can track the guy down.
