Yes I agree with Majorjet. Thank you so much all of you for helping this dog. I have been involved for many years with greyhound rescue, and have owned and rescued so many of this misunderstood and abused breed. They ask nothing much, but give back so much love and loyalty and make the most amazing pets. Thankfully this one will be given the chance of a forever home, and it is all down to you. Thank you so very much. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to update this! The greyhound thought to be Graham sighted in the Warrington area that we were actually told was a female WAS a female! She was caught last week during a joint effort between WAW GRWE & Gap volunteers and is now safely in WAW's kennels. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could there be a chance that the two (I think) dogs found in Surrey whilst searching for Merlin might be Graham? I know it's along way from where Graham went missing but always a pssibility. Someone suggested that it appeared to be raining black lurchers in that part of Surrey. I can't remember the full details but, at the time, I did think how much alike Graham and Merlin looked, apart from size that is. I seem to recall that one had been taken to a vet by the finder whilst the other was in nearby rescue kennels. I know there were questions being asked about Merlin height. It was just a thought but felt it was worth a mention. Hope Graham's homecoming is also immiment. Come home very soon boy!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We are back after 7 hours up there today. Sadly no sightings of the dog but im not sure this is Grahem. We managed to speak to many locals who see the dog regularly including the man who has been feeding HER for five weeks now. Apparently one local got close enough to get the number of the collar and phoned the owners to be told the dog was a rescue and she had escaped numberous times before and they werent interested!!! The guy who feeds her is very close to catching her and its taken him five weeks to get this far. Today at tea time she didnt come out but there was alot of agricultural work on the farm and it was very noisy and disturbed. The farmer was great with us but did stipulate he didnt mind us having a nosey around his land as long as there wasnt too many people turning up. I think for the time being its best if we keep in touch with the guy and he has said if he can get a hand on her he will take her home and ring me so that Gap can bring her in asap. Im going to try and get back over to see him again at some point this week. Its heartbreaking to think of a scared girl out there with owners who cant be bothered and dont want her back but if she is caught and it is a she not Graham and what we were told is true she can come safely to us anyway.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Wonderful news! As Graham has experience of living rough before, I thought he must be going it alone somewhere, but we had no way of knowing where until someone saw him. Now this kind farmer has made him comfortable and is feeding him, we stand a good chance of seeing him in the blue. People need to proceed very gently and win his trust. We don't want to risk him moving on somewhere else if he feels threatened. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

People please cross post to any lurcher greyhound or general dog sites! we want as many people there as poss, the more eyes the better and also would be good to see everyone! anyone who wants to come without transport just post and we'll see who can poss help!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Love the name Graham, really suits a Greyhound as they are such friendly, loving and giving dogs. As Lurcherlass mentioned, his family have done everything right to give this handsome boy the best possible chance of coming safely home. Poster as widely as possible to make him the most famous boy in your area. Hope he is home very soonxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
