Not sure whats happening with this, spoke to the owner last night and he was going to go back to Dogs Trust today with his wife so try and establish if this was Benjy, i had a phone call from dogs trust to say that no one had been there and they had not heard by phone or anything, ive not heard from them either, so can only presume that they decided this was not benjy, hope they find him soon

Benjys owner has been to telford today, but isnt sure if it is him or not. He has video'd the dog and shown it to his wife, but still unsure, i think they will both go back to telford tommorow to make sure, will update asap.

So we are still in suspense but it looks very hopeful. I can't imagine what Kevin will be feeling - hope he can get some sleep tonight!

Update: Dogs Trust are pretty sure that this dog is Benjy, they have been unable to detect the pigmentation on the skin, because the dogs hair has grown. Luckily, if this is Benjy, the only reason he hadnt been rehomed was the fact that they had to wait to have him neutered, he has three people wanting to give him a home. Kevin is going up to Telford, hopefully, tommorow, to see if it is him!!! Will let everyone know as soon as i know, fingers crossed

The wait is killing me, have called dogstrust, and the lady isnt in at the moment, waiting for a call back!!!!!!!!

Dogs trust have just telephoned, they have just got back from the vets, and of course it is just getting dark, they have looked at the dogs eyes, and they think there is definately a colour difference between each eye, they are going to check the marks on his skin first thing in the morning, and will contact me then, fingers crossed its Benjy xxx

Had a call today to say that there had been a bichon puppy in the RCT pound in cardiff for about the last three weeks, called the pound and the dog has been transferred to Dogs Trust in Telford, have been in contact with them, they have a dog there who matches Benjys description, even down to the fact that he only has one testicle that has dropped, he has gone today to be castrated, so just waiting for him to come back so that they can check the other distinguishing features, will update asap

Hi Jayne, yes he said his wife was trying to send one from her phone today, did mention about the bbc, and that i would try to get emma to get in touch with them, but the owner didnt want to be filmed, he said he would speak to his wife, but havnt heard back from them.

Just spoken to the owner, he says that Benjy was stolen from the garden, Benjy has never wandered and is quite a timid dog, so wouldnt stray. Owner has been in touch with the local pound, and actually knows the dog warden for the area, who is keeping a look out for Benjy.
