Yes owner has just called me to say Daisy is on way to vet for a checkup - Daisy came to owner this morning in St Anne's Park where there had been a possible sighting yesterday. So relieved that she is safe at last as the rain was preventing us from helping.

Just posted on Brighton Dogwatch that Daisy has been found in the park!! She is on her way to the vet now for a check over. I'm sure the owner will be on to update later. So happy and relieved. Was just drying my walking trainers with the hair dryer so I could go out looking soon lol. Stay safe lovely girl xx

can the person who spoke to the person in St Annes check which pavement she was on? We have been to the park a number of times now and will start walking the surrounding area. it would be good to start on the pavement she was seen on. thanks again for all your help.

Tweeting for Daisy and hope she stays safe.....she may hide under bushes/undergrowth if shocked/injured xx

she can very easily move between the park, flats and across into the grounds of the meditation centre which has it's entrance in lansdowne road but has extensive quiet grounds going back to Furze hill. I saw lots of potential hiding spots when i was looking today and I was looking in the meditation centre grounds at the time she was spotted. If she is staying in this area it will explain why she hasn't been spotted. x

Just seen a post on Brighton Dogwatch page, someone was approached in St Annes Wells Park this afternoon at about 2pm & was asked if they had lost a dog, as there was a cream coloured retriever type dog hiding in bushes at the back of the park near to the flats.....
Have just phoned owners & told them of sighting.... fingers crossed

Just got in from looking. I started at seven dials and walked around several roads leading down to western road. The gates of the High school were open both sides so checked out the grounds as much as possible. Also the grounds of the meditation centre in Lansdowne road. I walked up and down several of the roads leading off and up from western road around the area of Waterloo st. I did look on the sea front and lawns just in case and around Brunswick square although I couldn't go in the park there as no dogs allowed. As someone already said the houses down all of these roads have basements many with a covered area. I peered down as many as possible but it's very difficult to see much. I feel if she hasn't been taken in by someone she will be sheltering somewhere as it's pretty horrendous out there at the mo. Will go out again tomorrow but everything crossed she turns up before then x XLast edited: 2014-08-25 14:59:11 by angi

Thank you for contacting dog warden. It's a council number so I have not gotten thru. Not a word from anyone so we are hoping someone took her in and we will get a call on Tuesday when everything opens again. Called all vets posters up and still walking streets but a needle in a haystack as I have no idea where she ran off to. Thanks everyone for your help and keep looking. She is super sweet so will go to anyone once she calms down.
angi
I have had an injured ankle or would have been out looking. I'm hoping it will be ok by tomorrow to go and look but of course I hope she is found before then. x

Have added Daisy to Animal Wardens Web Page ..

Have texted Clarkey Doglost Co-ordinator ESussex, She currently has no internet, and is not available this weekend , but she has suggestec the following ...
Please make sure all vets & rescues nearby & in surrounding areas are aware, Most likely Daisy is hiding up somewhere in Bushes, Ditches, Gardens, Shed etc... If any sightings, owner should look very carefully nr to Sighting & area between where sighted & where she was clipped by car..... Area needs to be flooded with posters....Also search first & last light when very quiet... Owner should take smelly food (sardines etc..) & not to have lots of people calli g her, or this will scare her.. & pleae register her with animal wardens lost & found web page ..... hope there is some news soon x

Main communication is being done on Brighton Dogwatch fb page, seems owner has been out all day looking, various shares have been done, local vets are aware and various people who work along the seafront havd been told... poor owner ix trying so hard, I am not local, are there any helpers in Brighton area that can help here pleeeeease.... poor dog if still loose iis unfamiliar with the area & possibly injured after being clipped by a car..... If there is anyone thst can help, please do...x
Kit'sMum
Poor little girl. What a violent way to have to understand cars. She must be scared to death, particularly as she doesn't know the area. I hope you find her soon and keep her safe. Lead walking around the area could be a good start, but once found she may be so traumatised she doesn't want to go out at all and you will need a lot of patience with her. Please keep us informed.
Debra
Good luck, hope Daisy is found real soon, hopefully just bruised, everything crossed xx
