- What to do if your find a stray animal or if you lose a pet
Contact the Animal Welfare team us to report a stray animal. If you think it is safe to do so, you can also bring a stray animal direct to our animal boarding centre.
Monday - Friday: 9am to 5pm
Outside of office hours and at weekends we do not provide a collection service, you will need to bring a stray animal to us if you are concerned about its welfare
If you are bringing a stray animal to us at: Security and Surveillance Centre, The Square, Stockton (opposite Stockton Baptist Tabernacle)
To ensure that we can organise the necessary operational arrangements, please telephone us to advise if you intend to bring an animal to us. Telephone us on (01642) 618946
Owners should claim lost animals within seven days. An animal will not be released for collection until relevant fees have been paid
If you lose your dog it is important that you let us know quickly
Lost animals are often taken to local animal welfare centres, kennels and vets, so it's worth checking local centres to ask if your pet has been handed in to them
