- The road should read Hayes Lane (with an 'e') as the same road where I live. Each time I drive along the road, heading towards the Chinese Garage roundabout, I always check the opposite grass/shrub verge. You may have already checked the verge, particularly between the bus stop and the latest Savills 'For Sale' board but thought it relevant to mention. I know it's very difficult because of the volume and speed of the traffic (would suggest you wear hi-viz jackets and choose a quiet time of day) but really think you need to eradicate the possibility that Barney might be there, but sincerely hope I'm wrong. You would need to go armed with a stout stick or two (i.e. broom handles) and gardening gloves but, as I say, take great care. I always keep my eyes peeled for Barney whilst walking our dogs. Hope it won't be long until he's back home.
