seem to have acquired a young male long haired gsd!! He was found wandering by a man who lives near me and thought he might be one of mine!! (I wish he was, he is gorgeous ) He's in good condition and has a lovely nature. I bet his owners are devastated and are frantically looking for him. Please pm me if you know anyone who has lost this lovely boy. Paula PS I'm taking him to the vet later to have him scanned and ringing the dog warden to see if he has been reported missing in the morning. paulaholme@ntlworld.com this was on http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/board/topic/92493.htmlLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Keep on at the police so they don't get a chance to "forget" about this crime! Now its registered you deserve the same service as anyone who has suffered a crime against them. With all the info on the vehicle, Zeus will definately be home soon!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There must be a way to find the owner of this landrover through the dvla or friendly garages that do MOTs or landrover dealers. This police attitude is so annoying, this is obvious stealing if there are witnesses to this , how did the person gain access , provide evidence of criminal damage!!! I wouldnt let the police get away with doing nothing and would make myself a real pain in the butt with them. I am sure I have seen it posted on one of Doglosts dogs that you can get a number from DVLA ,you pay a fee or something and tellthem something about an accident , Worth phoning them to ask! Sorry also forgot to add that the police can only accept a dog as stolen with proof, ie forced entry, injury to someone and would you believe it is better on film(!) I think we all need CCTV!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately the police's hands are tied unless the dog is offered for sale which then constitutes the Sale of Goods Act. It will be treated as a missing dog only, but is well worth while going to the station in person and putting up a poster in their foyer. My brother is a sargeant at Bilston Rd station and I've spoken to him regarding Zeus. A picture would be really helpful? He is a big dog lover himself, so will definately help if he can! Good luck xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another dog plucked from what should be the safety of his own garden. Poor little pup must be very confused. Wish the law really would be tough on crime. Hope Zeus is safely home again very soonxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad owners are going to see the police - let us know how you get on! Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to get their details yourself from DVLA - you need more than just the registration number. But the police will definitely be able to do something with a vehicle description and reg number - don't take any excuses! I hope Zeus is home very soon xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

good! pleased they have all the details, I think they can get details of the owner of the vehicle from the DVLA, God help a person if they ever took my dogs and I found out where they were,!! They must press for charges , people have to start seeing these crimes resulting in prosecutions to deter others , These theives make me so cross!!! Hope Zeus is home soon . I have spoken to owners of Zeus, they will be making a personal visit to local police station tonight to make a theft report or a police complaint if the police choose to do nothing about this theft. Owner has vehicle description and registration number from witnesses.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
