Most of the Merseyside bulldog breeders I found on a website advertising puppies have now been sent the echo article and doglost poster, I am only waiting on two. Also sent details to Bulldog Rescue. They have repilied and said they did not know about this case and will put it on their lost and missing website, they will also send information out to members. Regards Jan (Woolton).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I do hope there's some news of her soon, she looks a little beaut. My heart goes out to the owner and I will poster the Norris Green end of Liverpool where I live. I hope Heva comes up with something. I'll be watching for her safe return. Jan Norris GreenLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jayne welldone on using the picture from the scanned echo article I sent to you. I have not had any reply from Bessie's owner regarding a clearer picture (I have asked her to send one to you by text as she has no internet at the moment). At least the one on the poster shows Bessie's markings and it has enabled you to send the posters all over Liverpool. I have been looking on another site selling puppies and e-mailed all local breeders I could find to ask if I could forward the poster onto them, I have had some replies. Regards Jan (Woolton). I have just had a long chat with the owner of Bessie. She has not got internet access at home at the moment. Someone has spoken to Bessie's owner who said they seen the lady at Hunts Cross train station and spoke to her, they do not know where she was going but it was the Southport train. Photo should be on doglost soon. Regards Jan (Woolton).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have just read the story in The Liverpool Echo, Wednesday's (23 Aug) and there is a small picture of Bessie, it must be the one from the mobile phone as it is a bit blurred. Any chance this can be put on the doglost sight? Hope this cute little girl is returned soon. I will keep a look out, I do not live far from where she was taken from and know the area well. Regards Jan (Woolton).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

must have been planned as you wouldnt know she had pup in the back as high fence and gate! she broke into the back or house! someone knew they were there! police came yesterday and took statements! contacting CCTV people and lady no has a photo she has found on her grand daughters phone so i am hoping to get that from her in next day or twoLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If she caught a train or bus she must have needed assistance with that lot, yes bus drivers and railway staff are a good idea. If not seen by them then she must be local , Do you think this was planned or just an opportunist pick up . ? Surely if planned she wouldnt have dragged 2 kids with her maybe 1 as decoy. If this person had a pram and kids in it she must be local,I would check out nursery schools and doctors surgeries and poster these , post office etc . With luck someone/neighbour might shop her. Ther cant be many bulldog puppies in that area , also notify all vets in surrounding area as must be going for jabs soon. Hope bessie is home soon..ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

ok i cant give all info coz i dont know who is reading but a work person of some kind came to house in the mornign and was working in garden liked the pup and her other dog as she has big runs in garden. lady went out in afternoon, which work man knew as he could only come in morning. owner came back in afternoon and realised dog had gone! she then talked ot neighbour who saw a woman with a small child about 18 month old and a pram with tiny child in! pup ran up her drive and lady chased it and put in pram with baby. Neighbour wasn't aware that owner had new pup so didnt question lady as she was so confident! trying to contact cctv people and also firm that work man was fromLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry I'm a bit confused on this one if the owner was out at the time how do we know it was a woman with two kids who took the pup??? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Did she bring the kids in with her?? This person could have visited before to know the set up and where pups were. No car?? So she would have walked with kids and carrying a big puppy. Someone must have seen something surely. Have you checked phone calls as sometimes people phone to see if someone is in the house, perhaps she was watching to see when the place was left empty. Wish you luck .ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

still cant find a picture!! we have a few leads but nothing solid as yet! either this lady lives close or has got a bus down! she knew that this lady was out and managed to unlock the back gate and get in! Trying to get CCTV from the local camera which looks on by her house! It has to be someone who saw the garden and gates and saw how the ladies set up is! the other bulldog she has is now stressed and wont eat and she is having to hand feed....also this pup was the last thing her mum bought for her before she passed away! searching through google for similar picture as discription! if anyone see's one then please email me and i shall show woman and see if its alike! white with brown patch on head one on eye then a large one on bodyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Perhaps you could contact missing bulldog12.6. unless you have already done so , might be same people who stole theirs. How did they get the dog out, might help prevent other thefts if we know . Good luck, hope you find your pup. ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OH!! what a shame to be stolen at such a young age. Terrible for the owners as well. I do hope this baby is soon found and the scum get their due punishment.Stay safe little Bessie. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This sadly doesn't surprise me anymore, some people will steal a much loved canine member of a family, careless of the heartbreak that it causes, for financial gain. The punishment for dog theft does not fit the crime. Hope this young puppy is safely home very soonxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh for god sake, not another stolen puppy! What is this horrible world coming to when our pups aren't even safe on our own property. This really does make me sick. I hope Bessie is found soon and the person responsible gets exactly whats coming to them!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
