Hi Reynard please can you email me clairechevin13@gmail.com
ClaireC
Ian is going to try to get a similar photo of what Jill would look like now. I will update further when Ian gets back to me in a few days.
ClaireC
Hi Reynard, i will try and get in touch with Ian and ask if he is in touch with owners of any siblings.Last edited: 2016-01-27 13:00:15 by ClaireC
DogLostReynard
Any news... she is chipped so where is she...her coat will be very 'featherey'now & tail ,ears & top of legs and very spotty feet, as suspect her back end has some of white & belly ... quite distinctive!
Any chance of a 'look a like' photo and maybe another entry in Countrymans Weekly , etc?
Esther
Hope it brings news for you Ian
ClaireC
Still looking albeit Jill will now be a lot bigger. x
Mollychops
Jill is featured in todays Countrymans Weekly
Esther
I keep looking on Jill s page Ian, as I am sure others do. Please let us know if you have any news.
ClaireC
Hi Ian just wondered if there was any news even from other sources.
Esther
I can understand that Ian, you have had a bad time. We farm and sadly we have to be much more security conscious now.
Ian
Again thanks for the support. Have just bought a cctv system to scan my property. Don't have the confidence to keep a dog without it now.
Esther
I still keep checking in Ian, hoping for news, I am sure others do as well
Esther
We are still watching for them Ian.
Ellie&4Collies
Hi Ian, Just wanted to let you know Penny and Jill aren't forgotten - I come on here every few months as these 2 captured my hearts from the start. One day I pray I will see them in the blue!
Ian
Thanks ladies for keeping Jill in the frame. Sorry but the dog in Barnsley is not Jill. One of the dogs I have been following , Spaniel Kelly taken with Jim in WR11 has reappeared as a stray after several months. Travellers were possibly implicated in this story. It does show that there is always a possibility that in circumstances like Jill's she may reappear at some stage if the microchip is still in situ. Myself after 12 months with no credible sighting of Penny and bearing in mind she was feral and a regular visitor, I now believe she is deceased.
ClaireC
Hi Jeanette thank you for posting and keeping an eye out for this little girl. However, it is hard to tell from photo especially as Jill is now that much older and will probably be a lot bigger as well. But I think there is a lot more white on the found dog over the back area. I am hoping that Ian will follow this up. x
Jeanette
A similar looking dog has been posted as found in Barnsley. Im guessing with the warden now. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=696113840474363&set=pcb.696114027141011&type=1&theater
ClaireC
Hi Ian, has there been any news on Jill or Penny lately? x
ClaireC
And me as well.
Esther
Still keep looking on Jill s page hoping for good news
ClaireC
Hi Ian any news?
Esther
I have to be away for a few days. Really hope there is good news about Jill when I get back.
Esther
Hope the local radio is a help
Esther
ClaireC
So hoping this will lead to further info on all the missing ones along with Jill x
Ian
Nothing to report i'm afraid Claire. Stephanie is still getting coverage on local radio ( Somerset) this week on missing spaniels.
ClaireC
Hi Ian, anything turned up?
ClaireC
I know the theft of Jill was mentioned on Radio Gloucester yesterday and so hoping this brings in some much awaited news. x
Esther
Thanks Claire, Still got fingers crossed for Jill and Ian
ClaireC
Esther as far as I am aware that there has been no news of late.x
Esther
Any news Ian ?
Esther
Sounds a good idea Claire
ClaireC
What about you asking Evesham Chronicle (I think that's the paper) to run an article on dogs that have either been stolen or simply taken under false pretences from your area? Might throw up a few positives!
ClaireC
Hi Ian please look at Jim Dog ID 66404. Should be found in the reunited column soon. Does make you wonder if this is where Jill is!Last edited: 2014-03-25 10:30:07 by ClaireC

It maybe that some people might be going to Cumbria for their holiday this year and if so might be tempted to visit any of the Fairs on the following dates 5-11 June 2014 might be worth keeping an eye open for her.Last edited: 2014-03-20 08:34:00 by ClaireC
Ian
I have updated the additional image to one of her with Sandra taken a few weeks ago when we walked in Stratford. It probably represents her size a little better.
Esther
Come on Jill we still want you home and still look every day to hope to see you in blue
ClaireC
Luna, the dog that has been returned to the Dog's Trust is in reunited column Dog id 65009.

Repost from Facebook today: small black and white spaniel type dog seen in Sheffield. Reported to dog wardens
Kinsally
So hoping for good news soon on beautiful Jill xx
Esther
Everything crossed Ian
Ian
The local dogstrust centre at Evesham have news of their stolen lurcher Luna which was lifted in a distraction robbery by the occupants of a van which has been traced by the police. There is an outside chance it could be the same people responsible for Jill so I have made the necessary organizations aware.
duffs54
Aww Ian, just checking in on Penny and saw this post mentioned, this is just awful for you. I hope you get little Jill back asap, along with Penny as well eventually. so sad for you xx
Esther
Lets hope it is not too long
Chi lover
Am gutted for you, not been on here for some time and was catching up on Penny - can't believe that this has happened to you. I do hope that you get her back soon.
Ian
Thanks for watching here. No news yet and yes those bases have been covered. I'm told it could be a while before she surfaces.
Esther
Still keeping everything crossed for you Ian
Catwhothinksitsadog
Terribly saddened for you. I had seen this beautiful one had gone missing from a tweet in early Feb but not realised it was yours as had not logged on for a while. I am guessing that you have 'enquired for missing dog' at a certain location at the Darlingscote crossroads. I have always been suspicious of that patch in light of your location.
Esther
Really hope this brings news of Jill.
ClaireC
Everything crossed for some news of this girl xx

Featured in todays Countrymans Weekly Magazine - I hope it brings some news
Kinsally
So hoping for good news soon, many people are looking out for Jill & praying for her to come back home where she belongs. Circulating Jill's details on Twitter & spreading the word. Come on Jill where are you sweetheart? Xx
Esther
It is so good she is micro chipped, it really seems to make a difference. I am sure we will all keep looking out for her
Ian
No news so far. Thank's for sharing the info. She seems to be networked very well on "Facebook" and other groups. If we can keep pressing these buttons I'm hopeful she will surface somewhere.
Esther
Any news back from the police ?

Sharing and hoping for some good news x

Have emailed info to friends in the area, daughter is at school locally and is telling all her friends. Good Luck.
Jeanette
There is another photo of Jill ( stood up in a vehicle on a green seat cover ) circulating around Facebook as a 'found' dog. Jill has not been found today. That is another photo that Ian has submitted. Jill is still missing. I hope this gorgeous little dog is soon found. ( And Penny too ) x
Kinsally
So wishing for this dear puppy to be back home where she belongs. Dearest Jill everyone is praying for you to be found, stay safe little one xxx
Esther
Completely agree with you Claire. Wish I could do more to help.
ClaireC
No more than she nor you deserve. I'm sure I speak for everyone that you've touched our hearts and we are all so desparate to help you get your dog(s) back x
Ian
Thanks Jude. Its very humbling the support Jill is getting.

Ian, Shared on FB Oxfordshire area, I am ex-TVP so my ex-colleagues are aware, shared also on Springer Spaniel Owners & Lovers FB page, fingers crossed Jill is home soon x

Hi Ian, please look at Lost dog ID 47929
Kelly and see the latest comments of today's date. This may be of interest to you in gaining a bit more publicity to get Jill back. xx
Esther
I think the full UK coverage is a good idea. The Glos police sound constructive as does the dog wardens facebook page.
DogLostReynard
well done for getting Jill on Stolen and Stray
good luck!

Ian
I have registered her on the Stolen and stray pet Recovery site and opted for the full UK coverage option which is really good value. I have also had Glos Police contact me twice yesterday and today asking for more info. They are actively investigating this which I am very impressed with.
DogLostReynard
Good luck with Police today and now they should give you a CRIME no. so that the crime & others in your area can be detected fully
White Transit Van, very common with certain people
but hopefully the Police know where to look, static shipping containers, horse boxes and the like.

Ian
Thanks for the idea mayjul. I will follow that up tomorrow. And thanks for the phone call Claire. That intelligence has been passed on with your number if they need to contact you.
mayjul
I so hope Jill is found soon. Dog ID 62517 in reunited section used a national pet detectives company with a fantastic outcome (it was in local newspapers). It may be a good idea to contact Mr Notley the owner to see if he can give you any contact details for the detective company. I hope this gives you some more positive thoughts x
I have just found the article online and it was a Wales-based business Stolen and Stray Pet Recovery. The dog that was missing was in Essex so they must travel all over to help. xLast edited: 2014-02-03 13:39:17 by mayjul
Ian
Thank's all of you for the help. Trying to make a proportional response rather than getting carried away. Have received info that a white transit van was seen cruising with two "ner do wells" by a friend who was going to call but realised I was home so assumed it was ok. Police have been notified and have incident no and promise of a visit today. More information although very second hand of 3 whippets taken from neighbouring village of Mickleton about 4 weeks ago and more recently worries of suspicious vehicle taking interest in two dogs tethered outside Mickleton Post Office more recently. This is info hopefully the police may follow up.
ClaireC
Oh no, I've just seen and just so gutted for you. Ive just got tears in my eyes. As also with Penny, I will ask my son in law, whilst out running in your area to keep his eyes open. I do wish you all the luck in the world getting this one home as well as Penny xxLast edited: 2014-02-03 10:43:46 by ClaireC
Esther
Jill is on my sons facebook now, if she has been stolen hopefully she will be made too hot to handle. Best of luck
DogLostReynard
so sorry Ian :(
i guess you have guidance from Mollychops & Police as to the likley places Jill could be?
I would suggest you speak with other owners local to you that have had their dogs stolen & recovered such as Lulu,Bracken,Azzy 56928 & Jack 56932 from GL53
good luck xLast edited: 2014-02-03 09:38:35 by Reynard

Ian, what a rotten time you have had, I wish I was closer to help. I will get my son to put her on facebook. He has a massive and widespread number of friends in the equestrian community, who by nature are also very dog aware.
Kinsally
Wishing for this dear little pup Jill to be found. Just so sorry Ian this has happened to you again. Hoping & praying for good news. I've circulated on Twitter & many are aware. Fingers crossed x

Oh no, Ian. I am so shocked. xx
Ian
Hi all, Thank’s for all the support and advice. I have trodden this miserable but familiar road for over 14 month’s already in the hunt for Penny id 45799 still missing. Penny was sighted regularly within 10 miles of my home over a period of 7 months at a time when I had up to 4 traps deployed to catch her. She quickly became feral and showed a remarkable ability to adapt to her new circumstances. Throughout this time I have gained much valuable experience on the process involved in attempting to repatriate a dog much of this from the help received via this forum.
With this in mind my situation is different with Jill as she is barely 5 months old and not able to fend for herself. All local searching within a feasible distance of her disappearance has been thoroughly covered if she was under her own steam. We are all but certain she was abducted.
I learned several important truth’s during my hunt for Penny. Firstly if you are not local to the area of the sightings you have virtually no chance of getting to respond personally to sightings. Secondly if you are anything other than self employed or retired the same difficulty applies. Thirdly I was told by Ray, (the dog catcher) that as I had caught numerous cats, dogs and foxhounds in my 4 traps that it was probable Penny had seen this and was never likely to enter one. And fourthly with the benefit of these experiences that if possible I would try and realistically assess the type and direction of effort expended in the early days dependant on the type of disappearance.
I was lucky in some ways in the hunt for Penny in that I was local to the sightings and self employed with supportive partners and she did keep presenting herself. However the effort night and day managing 4 traps and postering , following false leads, crank callers etc took its toll physically and mentally. Everything has been done here on the ground looking for a local solution to a missing 5 month old pup travelling less than 10 minutes under her own steam. So we are left with the almost certain fact that she is now victim of abduction and in the wrong hands. A reward is posted and unless she is presented at a vets or dog warden in the next two days for scanning I believe realistically she is lost. This time its different, I want her home but hoping is unrealistic and I cannot do the same as I did for Penny because this time I’d be chasing shadows.

Left a message to catch up. Advice sheets have been sent
Sarah
That's so sad. Have you also checked the less obvious places - such as she might have gone into the house, into a shed, under a shed, under a bed, into prickly bushes and got caught. I have shared onto various Glos FB sites - there is Lost Dogs - Gloucestershire, Lost and Found Pets in Bristol/South Glos, DOGS Lost and Found in Gloucestershire. All worth keeping an eye on. Fingers crossed you get her back soon.
Brightness
If you think she was taken, have you informed the police? I would also call Dog warden , local vets etc. Let's hope she just got out, someone has picked her up & she's soon home again. Pets4homes, preloved and a few others are all hotspots for selling on dogs too. Really hope you get her back soon, can't imagine what you're going through :(
Seeks
Shared her earlier but so hope she will soon be found.

Ian
She is just about 5 months old now. Almost certainly taken from right under my nose this afternoon. Was extending her run with the help of a friend as she played around in the garden. One gate to the property was out of my sight but no more than 20 yards from where we were working. Noticed her absence within about 5 minutes of last seeing her. No noise or fuss and immeadeately searched all surrounding fields and nearby stream. then surrounding area within about a mile and Campden high street which is 2 miles away. Family searched all area again with dogs later in the afternoon. She is not a wanderer but very friendly and approachable. So all the searching has been done to eliminate that possibility. Leaves the probability that she was taken. have also posted on facebook, informed Micro chip admin of her loss. Am monitoring Gumtree ads and have offered reward in case of theft.
Brightness
Just got email, have shared on Facebook. I am in Evesham area but have friends in Campden. Hope your baby is soon home.
