Hello, any more news on these dogs? Did most get home? Thank you, Sue
Unknown
steve7. I would try the local rspca in or close to ME9
steve7
How do we go about identifying these dogs, I would very much like to view the two saluki lurchers! where are they who do we call please?
Unknown
C.J Thank you for updating us
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Dogs are safe with RSPCA and I have been told by police will remain there until owners can be identified.
The cockerels did not get destroyed.
Esther
Does anyone know what has happened to these dogs now?

Yes I do think people need to realise most missing dogs did not end up there. However when I did a google search on Iwade and the word dogs it threw up a disproportionate number of dog thefts there. Hopefully the police will search their phones for contact details and it might throw up leads as to who else might be involved elsewhere in the country. It will be interesting to see if dog thefts in the kent area decrease for a while too.
Unknown
me n my girl. Could`nt agree more. Eris. Sorry you had your "Lad" stolen. It is a sad "State of Affairs" when a person cant have a "Hobby" because some thieving scun thinks they have a right to take what is NOT theirs.
Seeks
Eruis we are behind so far down here but I feel for you as you can get fond of chickn the same as any other animal.

Thats what I meant about the birds but better that than what was going to happen to them. Its so evil but this scum were across the bored evil and the class A bit will put them away!!! Hope they meet a few animal lovers but that not right either really...... I not so good at vengeance but at least these ones are stopped!!

I still think we need to remember that most of our dogs didn't go to there.
Eris
Seeks, Unfortunatly the cockerels will almost certainly end up being destroyed. I have been told 'off the record' that the RSPCA destroy any gamefowl cocks found in raids as they know full well if they rehome them an exceedingly high percentage promptly get stolen again and go back into the hands of fighting scum. I tried keeping Old English game once as I loved the style and the colours of the breed, but only had them for just over a month before they were stolen in a night-time raid. It was awful to think what was going to befall my lovely friendly lad so I didn't bother trying to keep the breed again.

This really highlights the need for chipping your dogs AND for having the chip checked on an annual basis. Also if any details change informing the chip company.
Seeks
CJ I know this is not going to be easy for you sand just want to thank you and the Kent Police, the guy I spoke to was so kind and helpful. They also did the raid and a lot of animals will be safe though where all those cockerels can go I have no idea. There is a few hen rescues and maybe they will be allowed to help. As someone with a stolen pup its triggered so many of my worst nightmares and my normal calm has gone out the window.

Your very good at Dogslost for doing all this and could you keep your posts on page one please?
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Thanks Janie. I do know how everyone wants to know details as soon as possible.

I am waiting for photos. I cannot do anymore than wait. Kent police will send on as soon as they get them from RSPCA>

In mean time I am gathering all details and dogs ID in one place to aid trying to spot matches.

Retriever
Please may we have photos of each of the dogs found.
Unknown
I too can understand that people whose dogs are missing are frantic to know if there dog has been found in this raid. I know we all have our issues with the rspoa, but apart from this being a police investigation, the rspca have to think of the welfare of the dogs checking them all over etc. Easy to say I know but please try, and be patient.
Eris
At the moment I think the best thing people can do to help would be to examine the list of dogs reported below and then trawl through the listings of missing dogs making a note of any that look like they might fit the description. You can search on sex to make it easier. Then when the photos come out check your list to see if you have any that look like they might match. Don't ignore the ones where there is no photo as some owners might not have had photos and do be aware that many dogs such as terriers might have been listed under different breeds or cross breeds etc. The waiting is frustrating for owners but people could use this time in a constructive manner, if not for their own dog for the sake of someone elses, and it might help those owners anxiously awaiting news to keep busy doing something constructive whilst waiting as it will be a mammoth task to expect the doglost team to search all the missing records unaided.Last edited: 2014-01-16 20:35:47 by Eris

Can anyone confirm that the Pug has been reunited with its owner? Was it a dog that was listed on Doglost as a stolen one? The Pug people are desperate to know as there are so many of them hoping it may be their Pug!!

C.J. Many thanks for what you are trying to do here. Thankfully I am not involved in this but feel so much for all the people with dogs missing, I would be frantic. We obviously don't know the state of the dogs, but how long does it take to examine them ? Is it necessary to examine all the dogs before details and photos are released of any of them. Sorry rant over, thank you for all you are doing under such difficult circumstances
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
I have just had a call from an officer in Kent police. He has been speaking with the officer at RSPCA who is dealing with this case.
Photographs of these dogs will be as soon as dogs have all been examined. RSPCA will send to police who will send on to me so can use to see if any matches.
amy leach
thank you for clearing this up cj many people are being told differant things really apreciate your help.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Feelings are running high an I understand those with missing dogs need answers.

RSPCA have no powers to seize that is done by police. Animals are then passed to RSPCA.

TWO DOGS had microchips and both owners have been located TIA the cocker spaniel who is reunited on here. The other was the PUG. NO other spaniels or pugs were found.

All other dogs have been checked for chips and none found. Dogs are safe and secure with RSPCA while the investigation is going on.

The number of dogs removed is shown on the listing put on here once sent to police from the RSPCA . you will need to scroll down to read. Here is when it was posted...

Dog-News Show
After informing the RSPCA that the Police said they would be releasing photos, this statement arrived:
"The RSPCA is now carrying out an active investigation into allegations of offences linked to organised cockfighting, as well as potential animal welfare offences after a number of dogs of various breeds were seized by police from a property in Iwade, in Kent.

"We would like to thank Kent Police who contacted us when they discovered the animals during a warrant executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act on 12 January.

"The RSPCA will investigate any potential breaches of animal welfare laws, alongside the police who continue their own investigations into other alleged offences."
Dog-News Show
I now have more information directly from the police and RSPCA. They each say the other is responsible. The Police have said the remaining dogs were seized by police and are with RSPCA and were seized on welfare grounds. The Police say that the RSPCA will be releasing photos of the dogs to Dog Lost to aid reuniting them. However they have refused to answer questions about how many dogs were removed and if they are all still alive.

I have a pug puppy, he is still missing and he has a microchip. Is there any news on the Pug thats been found yet?

I just been thinking that though some dogs have been there and will have been there the vast majority of ours dogs will never have gone near the place......

I can hold that thought for about 5 mins but please know our dogs have more chance of being sold for money through prelove/guntree etc than they have of being near this scum ridden place.....

Just try to hold the idea our dogs never went there as to think they have kills you... well it is me.

I can't say the rscpa are my best rated (or close to best) rescue but even if they were the way they are playing this one would nuke them for me!!!! People are hurting, really upset, worried out their skulls and all they can do is put a silly little half baked list .....

How they discovered a entire female is beyond me but shows their ineptitude so well.

Steve I rang Kent on the normal outside of Kent ordinary phone number, you could try that one? I got it on line in their contact us section.
amy leach
i have been past round pillar to post from dog wardens to police to kennels to rspca.. its disgraceful how they have done all this they told me none off the lurcher's had microchips.. they are telling one thing to different people, they said 2 dogs were reunited a springer and a cocker! now there saying a pug they need to get thier facts straight! there are alot off worried dog owners searching for thier pets.Last edited: 2014-01-16 13:15:13 by amy leach

I have just called Leybourne Kennels they advised me called the RSPCA who knew nothing (!) and told me to call swale dog warden - who told me to call 101 police who said ALL dogs have been reunited with their owners! any further enquiries to call to ring the RSPCA again 0300 123 4999 ......
Could this mean the ones not microchipped have been given back as they wont be able to prove they are stolen?
Surely not! if a cruelty case - especially when other chipped stolen dogs were identified... this is crazyLast edited: 2014-01-16 13:06:26 by steve7

i have a feelin they had more perhaps even, pip hugo pup, masie ?? and sold them on hopefully they will track the phones.. rspca are useless and wont tell any one any thin !!!xx
Eris
I would hope ( hope being the word here) that the police will have seized mobile phones. If they have the chances are if these people have been dealing in stolen dogs the phone numbers of those contacts will be on the phones. A simple google search of the phone numbers held in those phones x checked against dog adverts might turn something up. My heart goes out to those of you who are awaiting news. I really do hope the police spare time and a person to do this as it could help crack this awful ring of dog thieves.
steve7
This raid happened Monday - surely after four days the RSPCA could be a little more helpful?
Dog-News Show
Can anyone clarify where this list of dogs came from? I have emails from both RSPCA and Kent Police press offices who say there is no list and dogs are not considered stolen. Am still chasing for a reply from a senior RSPCA inspector.
Nala
Can I ask would some kind person email me if any more news comes through on this today, as I am off to work and Doglost is blocked in our computers (god knows why!) thanks whitinghorse@hotmail.com

I really feel for all you people who have lost their dogs, such confusing details and yes i would like to hear what has happened with this Pug. The rspca are not the best in detailing dogs. I once got a puppy from them, wanting a JR (small dog) but ended up with a collie x. Please all keep pestering all concerned to get more details.

Is it possible that one of the salukis is our Layla - 46839? Does anyone have more than just a list yet???Last edited: 2014-01-16 04:07:46 by daisyanderson

Good luck getting your dogs back.
I am afraid the RSPCA are a law to themselves.
Hope they get you and your digs sorted soon.

Could one of the dogs be Lily - 57630? xx
Nala
I have just picked this news up - like Anna I am wondering about the pug - my pug x Nala has been missing for 9 months , do we have any idea when a confirmed detailed list and photos will be available ?
amy leach
its all confusing they called me saying a springer had been found and it could be mine then called back saying its not... and its a cocker obviously (tia!), there saying one thing to the public and another to these lovely people, no pug was mentioned to me just 2 with chips both with chips have been reunited now... Tinksbaby
Happy sammie has been reunited with tia x
Tinksbaby
hi everyone firstly glad got tia back whos been missing over a year. quite a long way from where she was stole from with maisie. lets hope maisie gets home soon, ive checked to see if TINKS was amongst any off the dogs listed but see no sbtfound. hope all these dogs get back to their owners as some are not chipped. but chips can move or be faulty. hope we do get to see some phots as theres many dogs being shared around fb without chips who are still missing. and i pray these ppl who have done this get sentanced . too many dog thefts going on and many of the thieves getting off likely. paws crossed that some owners can get closure with some off these found dogs
frances markey
Hope everyone here waiting gets some good newxxxx

I don't think my dog is there sorry for temper tantrum none of that is directed at dog lost, it is just getting information from the police is like pulling teeth. Also I feel angry towards all dog rehoming dog trust spca and rspca because they dont list dogs on dog lost uk so most of your life when ur dog is lost is going round a multitude of different sites to get information if all police all rehoming all rescue put on dog lost uk life would be alot easier for everyone.

frances markey
Why the bloody hell cant we get pictures of these dogs my dog german spitz has been missing from glasgow for 10 weeks surely we are entitled to a picture I find it appalling that everyone has to wait on a whim of the rspca and wonder if they will rehome them without our knowledge. Maybe more are chipped and they are not showing up.
amy leach
Im a bit concerned they told me a cocker (tia) and a springer was found by chip !! no pug was mentoned to me.. they said they still have a few left to scan
Anna Hampton
Could this be one of the saluki's - missing from Faversham since Oct? https://www.facebook.com/lunar.saluki?fref=ts
Seeks
CJ couldn't they just give the list to the police?! Surely the police could just tell them to? Its not a welfare issue alone class A drugs were involved so the police MUST be in charge

It not right they are keeping the police waiting let alone the rest of us!
Retriever
Please may we have a list and photos from the RSPCA?
Nora
Rozzi 61370 female liver and white springer spaniel went missing from Canterbury, she is chipped, but as we know chips can fail
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
THE DOGS 2 FOUND CHIPPED ARE a cocker spaniel and a pug .

I know everyone is waiting this information as I am but until RSPCA make a list and send to police who will let me know immediately we have no idea of other dogs there although most taken were of a saluki type breed.
disney
We lost 2 younger female springers no micro chip also a black female cocker with chip and an old black cocker any news yet
Colin
In case there are any Black Labs involved Lily's details
http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=61869
SianTG
Does anybody know if a Husky was found? My friends Husky went missing before Christmas and hasn't been found since. She went lost in Suffolk, but know that dog thieves can travel. The dog is microchipped, but sometimes the chips can fail or not be found etc. Thanks! :-)
Seeks
Now I am confused..... a springer can not be a Pug and a Pug can not be a springer.......

Wish they would get their facts right but they don't understand how it feels from our side I guess
amy leach
yh i got a call from them just now thank you for the updates cj.. a springer was also found by micro chip x
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
The 2 with microchips are a spaniel ( Tia on site http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=46845#.Uta1CklFDIU) and a pug .

any other details I cannot add until RSPCA send them to Kent police. They are definitely dealing and have taken all the dogs.
Maybe RSPCA phone line unaware of what each area is doing??
amy leach
wensmum was your dog chipped there was a terrier found but she wouldnt tell me what it was or any thing as i have lost just a springer and cocker. and lurchers found mainly,
Seeks
Wensmum I get told it too (((((((((( )))))))))) xx
wensmum
CJ please, if poss, may we have pictures - because of the Virbac business, I don't know if my dog's chip is still working, she has a Virbac chip, for what it is worth.
Please would they have a good look round too - I hate to ask this, but as I'm looking for a scruffy terrier, and keep getting told she would be used as a bait dog - I would rather know if she is buried somewhere there?
amy leach
i spoke to the rspca recently.. they said no dogs have gone too them =[ confusing x
Seeks
CJ they haven't said what breed the 2 chipped stolen ones are have they?
Seeks
I think there are a cross section of breeds Wensmum x

Amy I was lucky, having burst into tears they off loaded me to this really kind and nice guy. They are honestly checking the dogs for chip, they are in contact with Dogslost and they will tell us if our dogs are there ( or I have asked for anything that shows that Pup was ever there as well if evidence is found) Hang in there as Pip and Hugo may never have been near the place. xx

Quickbrew I have no idea but like you i hope it wasn't too late for ours as well as she was stolen 8 weeks back. None of our dogs are known to have been near the place and most are sold on for a quick buck to someone who actually wants a dog so hang in there and which one is your dog and I will share them x
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
RSPCA who are dealing with all these dogs can confirm two stolen dogs have been recovered and identified by microchip.

Other breeds of dogs have been taken by RSPCA due to their condition.( most are saluki type breed)

NO other dogs are chipped. I will ask that they are also checked for tattoos. Further enquires are being made to identify owners.

Doglost are awaiting for a full listing of these dogs from the RSPCA who are sending to Kent police so we can begin to cross reference.

quickbrew
does any one know how long this operation has been running as my baby was taken 2 months ago from Kent i hope it wasnt too late for her
amy leach
no one is giving any information have been on the phone most the day being past around council to dog warden to police.. they said they will cal back still havent :( xx
wensmum
This is being a very long day........Do you know if they are all gundogs, or are there other breeds involved?
Seeks
Amy I didn't ask them but saw on line that there were 10 but not sure how reliable that figure is. x

Sharon thanks for the offer, I am sure Pup wont be there (I can't really believe she is alive any more just now) but if she is would be grateful as I don't know that way at all and London is just under 300 miles away.

I just hope some of us get our babies back
Springer sharon
If I can be of any assistance even if it's giving lifts, helping in anyway please let me know in the meantime hoping and praying for those of you waiting. Please be sure my offer is genuine
amy leach
do you know how many are found??..i was told i would get a call at 11 to discuss the breeds still nothing... :(
Seeks
I had a chat with a nice guy in their control room this morning (I used the normal phone number for people phoning outside of Kent) He has 100% promised every effort possible will be made to return any dogs to their real owners.

I have also emailed them Pup's details and crime number etc and am sure if she is there, or any of our dogs are there, they will help us to know they have them.

He also promised they are being checked for chips though I forgot to say about tattoos but I am sure they will see those to x

I hope that you will look in the ears too as some may well be tattoed, my lost/stolen Flatcoat certainly has a green tattoo in her right ear, so please look in ears too in case the clip has failed as I know they can!!1 thank you.

I am sure that when these dogs are all sorted out, the owners will, of course, be notified if their dog has a chip and if not then I'm sure that photographs will be put on here as soon as possible. Please bear with Doglost staff I know they are all under a lot of pressure and we understand all your concerns.

A very anxious time for those waiting for news of their missing/stolen dogs. Fingers crossed there are some more happy reunions soon.

I really hope, and pray that many people who have had their dogs stolen/lost will be reunited with them soon. I know Kent police, and Doglost will do all they can to help reunite these dogs with their RIGHTFUL owners. We all need to be patient of course. Paws, and fingers xd for everyone who is waiting for news of their stolen/lost dog.

My heart aches for you all waiting to hear any news about these found dogs... I really hope all of these dogs are reunited with their families. Good luck to everyone who thinks their missing dog could be one of these dogs xx

I truly believe that with this being an extraordinary case, there will be time allowed to get any of the animals there.. returned to their rightful owners.
DL will do their utmost to get ALL the information to the owner as soon as they possibly can.
Retriever
Can you promise that you will give us enough time to identify our dogs? Our real concern is that they are rehomed and we loose the opportunity to get our beloved pets home safe and sound with us.

We would also like a date and a time by when the dogs will be known.
amy leach
my dogs where stolen recently and are thought to be there a springer and a cocker please can you let me know if they are found xx

I am being phoned and emailed from many sources for details. I honestly do not have them yet and once I do I will get information out.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Regarding the media attention after a Kent police raid at Iwade on Jan 13th can I ask public await details which I hope to get from Kent police very soon.

Once I have breed- sexes I will post on here. Please do not phone admin as they will have no details.
Please also do not use the 101 number to block the police lines as once we have details we will be liaising direct to assist matching.
