Large black Great Dane type dog wearing a collar seen wandering alone and looking lost for the past couple of days in the Cowpe area of Rossendale. It is looks well looked after but seems wary of strangers and runs away if approached.

Posters along tow path near Summertown also gone. Waterways may have taken down. Shall I text owner to clarify if she has been found Liz??
Liz
Walked past the bridge near Stratfield Brake and her poster has been taken down - looks like recently - has Natalie been found - just thought I would ask as I will need to remove posters I put up. I have not heard anything via FB pages, but will check again.....
Raine
Any news on this dog? Have checks been made with Network Rail and Stadhampton Sanctuary checked to see if she may have bypassed the dog warden. Let me know Liz if you want me to do anything. Im in Summertown.

Still missing. Another photo now added showing her markings (refresh page to view)

Anyone got any news on this girl? x

Walked from Begbroke through Bladon Heath woodlands, through Bladon, across fields to Worton, through to Oxey Meadows and back via Yarnton. Put posters up in Begbroke, Bladon, Yarnton, left one at Spring Hill Cottage as it has a good vantage point. Spoke to a few people, nothing sighted, no-one has seen anything. Hansons seems to own Oxey Meadows, I will try and find an email address for them to ask them to check their site and the lakes.Last edited: 2014-01-25 16:20:44 by Liz

Message recieved from Worton Parks 'This is Mish the Estate manager here. Our property runs all the way almost up to the cananl and down almost to Cassington on the A40 on both sides.I haven’t heard anything yet but I’ll send a memo out to our tenants working on and around the farm and forward this email on. We have a lot going on here and I’m sure someone would report the dog if they saw it.'
Shereen
Simon ,I have changed Natalie's poster to 'still missing ' in case you want to refresh your posters.
Liz
I have emailed the details to worton farm and worton organic gardens who own land nearby to loss site. Apparently there are public footpaths through their land from Yarnton and Cassington. Just incase there is anyone about available during the day in the week to have a wander.
Liz
One of the PCSCO's got back to me to say he has had cause to go out cross country in a 4x4 today, he sayes he will keep an eye out and also go into local shops in the area and spread the word.
Liz
she lives on a cananl boat. I believe she ran off from Dukes Cut, which the canal part which runs under the A40, if that helps.
Raine
I saw a poster for Natalie on the canal path Summertown, near Port Meadow.

Im not clear whether she initially went missing from Wolvercote or Yarnton. Can someone please confirm exactly where she was last sighted as this is important and isnt totally clear. Im near Wolvercote and dog walk along the Oxford canals OX2
Liz
Have passed her details to North Oxford and Eysham PSCOS.
Liz
Walked up towards the Oxford Airport from where I work in Langford Locks at lunch and scanned the fields with nocs, across up to the junction. Wasn't able to get out for long tho ,nothing sighted :(
Liz
Me again. My knee couldn't hold up to another muddy walk so I went up through fields at Gosford to a bridge over the a34, used nocs, north and south, walked throught fields along north and south. Reached railway line scanned towards Islip, and Oxford. then through fields near water eaton, to a4165, scanned railway line and a34 from bridges there, then back through and around stratfield brake playing fields. didn't see anyone t speak to this time, but no sign of Nat. for info there is a pigeon scarer in field next to sandy lane, off yarnton rd, this could have made a nervous dog turn back......
Liz
just come back from a 4 hour walk and wanted to check in with where I've been etc. I went from St Marys church in Kidlington across the fields to the bridge over the railways tracks near the Jolly Boatman, used nocs to scan in both directions, followed the canal towards Oxford to the next bridge over the railway line, nocs both direction. Pestered nearly all the fishermen in the fishing match, a lovely man from one of the boats moored at the HIghwayman is going to make sure all the other boats moored there know, a man said he was going in to the Jolly Boatman, and The Boat at Thrupp and he would tell them, and a lady said she was on her way to Annies Kitchen, a tearoom popular with walkers on the canal so she would tell them there. Spoke to 40+ people. Scanned the railway line in both directions just off the canal, walked up and zigzag covering most fields between Begbroke and Yarnton Road. Got to Yarnton Road and walked down Sandy Lane, going into fields either side, checking ditches, flood water, locks etc. Came out by the turnpike pub, spoke to a Network Rail bloke who said he walked there/ worked there and no dogs to the best of his knowledge had been picked up, I stressed to him that the chip might be out of date, and ensure doglost is contacted. went up a44, checked as best i could the little shed on the traveller site, knightsbridge yard, the railway line, coach park and then walked the canal back to yarnton road. Nothing, and no-one has seen her. Poster is on bridge at stratfield brake, still in good condition. Will go back out again after a cuppa.

The travelers have a website for selling dogs, you may want to check on there. It is dragon driving.Hope you find her soon.
Liz
I walked along the canal kidlington length towards and past stratfield brake on the 15th. Nothing seen. There is what I think is a traveller site on the A44 near Yarnton. They do have a lean to makeshift building where they appear to keep their dogs, I have seen it when out looking before...Will get out again this weekend, just not sure when as few issues at home at the mo. Will pass the message around. Stay safe Nat, good to see you chipped girl.xx

Sally - on this web site they have a map of where Natalie went missing -
http://oxford.animalfinders.co.uk/lostandfound/view-details.asp?reportID=3565
She was north of the A40 and ran after a deer at approx 2000. The rail tracks are just near to where she went (2 lines), I'm thinking more towards Yarnton when folk are looking for her. Last edited: 2014-01-17 16:54:40 by Bo

They're doing all that road work near the Yarnton Garden centre (road closed) - does she live in Yarnton? Was she on her regular walk? Do you drive to that walk? Sorry for the many questions.
Sally Lowe
I walked along canal from Duke's Cut towards Wolvercote. Quite a few peoplel seemed to know about Natalie, but `i only saw one poster. Canal boats, and all sorts of places where she could have gone to get out of the horrid weather. But the people who did know about her seemed to think she had gone missing from Yarnton. So precise and clear lost location is needed. I hope she's home soon.
Catwhothinksitsadog
I'm guessing you've tried riverboat community along canal. I'd leave posters with the station and also hand out posters to Big Issue Sellers. The seller outside M&S with a collie displayed poster on wall when Silver the Saluki went missing recently.
Sally Lowe
I'll be there at around 2.45 to help look. I'll have my dogs with me.
Shereen
~Hi Sally Natalie was last seen Tuesday night at Dukes Cut Canal
Sally Lowe
More precise location please, Wolvercote end or Yarnton. I can go and help search when I know which end to try.
Bo
It will be wolvercote / Yarnton - I have a house in Woodstock so know the area well. Huge area though, where abouts was she last seen please as I'm down the road from there now.
