Do we have a crime reference...this should be reported to the police if not already? This little man appears on Gumtree within 50 mile radius of this crime with strange explanation?

Are there any updates on Alfie`s whereabouts yet?
ClaireC
Hope the owners are making a good recovery both from their injuries and the trauma. My best wishes. x

Me too LindaT They chop your hands off in Saudi Arabia dont they for violent/theft? Hope this little one is home soon. Tiny paws xd.
Kinsally
I second everything that you say LindaT. It's bad enough seeing so many dogs being stolen but to snatch puppies which are too young to fend without their mother is really despicable :( I just can't imagine what this poor baby felt like to be taken like that & for the poor family to witness. It's such a dreadful crime & my heart go's out to Alfie's family & wishing you a speedy recovery & dear Alfie wherever you are sweetheart I hope to God your safe & whoever took you shows mercy & gives you back to your mum.
LindaT
Awful, sickening story, I feel for the owners, I fear for the puppy, and I hope sincerely that the mother Pug and other pup will get over the trauma of such violence. I doubt if any punishment to the perpetrators will make a difference to the type of evil scum they are, if you have no soul you have no feelings either way. If you let it you would despair of this world sometimes :-( Praying that the pup is going to be found very, very quickly now.

Here here to all comments. This story is so sad and what a pointless thing to do. Speedy recovery to Alfie's owners, my thoughts are with you, and I hope with all my heart that the little one survives.

Public can assist by NEVER buying a puppy not seen with its mother and don't be fooled by any other female pug as the mother would show signs of feeding with heavy teats.

To the stupid person who did this crime you obviously are NOT an animal lover and have no knowledge at all of any dog or would know that a young pup of this age needs its mother. Your theft will be in vain unless you get money which is all you are concerned with.

So I would suggest taking this pup to a place of safety before you are found.
With over 7200 views massive media coverage all eyes on on this little one.... I think you will have trouble trying to sell on this little pup so for once in your life DO SOMETHING HUMAN TAKE HIM BACK!!

Unbelievable cruelty to both humans and animals ---cannot comprehend such violence--hope that the owners can recover from this ordeal given time and that little Alfie is returned to a safe place --handed in to police etc and that he is safe---to the people --if you can call them that --who carried out this act -whoever they are I hope that even the people who know you are disgusted how low you have gone and do the right thing and let the police know who has carried out this awful crime.

Hope so....

I have circulated amongst petsearchers and other contacts. What a dreadful, heartless & evil act. I hope this little one survives (which is unlikely unless in experienced hands) without his mother, poor little mite.
Seeks
It probably isn't him but he does look very young... and very expensive.

There seems to be something very wrong with the UK just now. While dog theft is on the increase these scum sent one step further and used violence.

I hope the owners will soon be recovered and that mentally they will recover quickly too.

Poor Alfie he is so vulnerable but I so hope he will be safe

Everything crossed for the little guy. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to his brave owners. What a terrible crime! Have shared via Facebook in Surrey.

This is just terrible, I'm so sorry for the family and hope you recover quickly from your horrific ordeal. I've circulated on Facebook and twitter in Cornwall. I hope the scum are found and little Alfie is reunited with his family.

Max. They are pathetic cowards too
Unknown
Max. Because they are uncaring, vile, evil, and, the dregs of society. Hope this little one is found soon, safe, and well. As for the person/persons who committed this terrible crime, they will probably get little more than a "Slap on the wrist" But eh? What`s new?
ClaireC
I do hope that this is shown on Crimewatch. I am just so horrified at this totally uncalled and terrifying act. Xx
