Sadly for Jenny, the dog found in Kensington was not Charlie. But he IS Vodka and is now home! The owner's housekeeper spotted him and took the man to the house where he says it was obvious that the dog was home. They invited him in, kindly gave him some reward money and a photo of the dog and said the guy could visit any time. Nice story!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jeni has PMd me and this is the information she requires: Cambridge Evening News & Cambridge Weekly News - Tel: 01223 434309, Fax: 01223 434415, email: editorial@cambridge-news.co.uk. Cambridge Times - Tel: 01354 652621, Fax: 01354 657676, email: editor@cambs-times.co.uk and news@cambs-times.co.uk. Keep the story simple and emphasise the heartbreak and any children or elderly people who may be missing him. If you phone, ask for the news desk. Be ready to send Charlie's pic to them. Jeni - sorry that found westie wasn't him.Hope you understand that it's best to know of any reported just in case.Due to public volume of people at the fair then, someone somewhere has to have seen something. Please get onto local media while it's still recent to widen public knowledge and jog someone's memory possibly - it can have amazing results. Local authorites already know about Charlie as in D.Wardens,Rescue kennels,Vets and Police.(I would recommend you keep phoning the Police to remind them about Harry due to their shift changes and many staff on desk though.)Posters are up where he went missing so now we need to increase that awareness and the media can do this Jeni.If you are unsure how to go about contacting media and what to say then our Nik is the expert and she has kindly offered to advise you. Please PM her asap.Lets hope and take heart from dogs on here that have come back - some with incredible stories despite the odds....Thanks for posting Jeni , keep in contact thanks and take care. Thanks to all involved too - much appreciated.JxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jeni - We did 9 Posters around Midsummer Common area tonight. Mainly on trees by paths leading into the Park off residential side by the river and by main road Park side into City.Got talking to a very nice Residential barge dweller (can't think how else to describe - lol !).He offered to take a poster and will display it on his boat's window by path as it is moored there 24/7. Also said he knew the other boat people and would ask around. We then thought of PetsAtHome very nearby so have displayed a Poster there.Hope this helps and that you get some good news soon. Did you contact Ringway Highway Agency for Cambridge City ? Sorry not a nice thought but had to be said - I hope you understand. (Their number can be obtained from Council website.) I will keep thinking for more ideas but hopefully he'll be back before then ! Jx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

he's such a friendly little thing so he would have approached someone. i am concerned because although he is tagged with a phone number we've not heard anything. i am also worried because people come from all around to visit strawberry Fayre and he may not even be in the area anymore! heartbroken!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
