Hi Pauline, I wonder if this dog had been staying with someone whilst owners were away, perhaps on holiday hence no answer from his home. Maybe the local vets could help to see if he was previously owned and chip details had been changed. They are more likely to be able to get this info rather than yourself. Not sure if you've already done so, but maybe you could pop a note into their letterbox to say that you have him or where he is now if you have passed to Dog warden.

accourding to his microchip he lives in birkenhead.i have been to the address he is registered and no reply the neighbours have said it is is dog.been there a few times now no reply and phoned the number no answer.but he could have a new owner since he was chipped

I know someone who has lost a black & white husky called shadow they live in Mottram can you please check to see where this boy is registered too? He got loose with another husky called max been missing over a month now

we do have details for an owner who is not replying to our phone calls and is not answering his front door

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
