A white/cream dog was listed WITH PHOTO on Petsearch last November. A young dog looking very like your white one. Petsearch number 379. Telephone number 01889 562907. Was this one checked out?http://www.petsearchuk.org.uk/Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for still watching out for these two. Still no news- every found dog has not been the right one. I'm a member on lots of different rescue forums & also check out GSD rescue- so far nothing but still looking & appreciate your help.x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jimbo for looking up on my reason for being here. These became a quest many months ago which is how I found this wonderful site. We may not have these two home yet, but we've seen many others returned & hopefully one day soon these will be there as well. I've spoke nto the owners of these two again over the weekend & they are very touched by the kindness & help that people on Doglost have given them- it's now over a year since the boys disappeared. Hopefully positive thinking will get all the missing dogs homeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thankyou to the two extra special people who are in touch off the boards- you know who you are & you're comments are appreciated. I post on behalf of owners who no longer have internet- but I do keep in touch with them. The fact that these two haven't been forgotton means a lots & I'd certainly love to meet them in the flesh after all thsi time. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mugsy- if you need more info other than last nights please let me know. Both have distingushing features that would not have disappeared despite these two been a year older than when they went missing. Some very strange coincidences over the last couple of days- just hoping that these two will finally show thesemselves. Thanks for the comments, Sue & Andy have been understandbly quiet the last two weeks, losing husband/dad then the dogs hit them very hard. We still believe they are out there some where - possibly still in Langsett/Penistone areas but despite postering no one has come forward. Like the many owners of dogs that have not been returned we pray that they are safe & looked after until we get them back which I hope we do. In the meantime- Sue & Andy are looking after the dogs they have rescued since last May & helping to look for other dogs missing in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well these two fail to be found- we've not given up & if any dogs could hi-light why you MUST microchip then these two do. These two couldn't have got out on their own, the fencing was too secure. We have searched & postered for miles & will continue to let people know they are still hopefully out there- somewhere. If some one has without realising it taken them in together or seperatly then please just let some one know they are safe. I never met them but after 12 months of searching for them & contact with the owners who have now become our friends I feel as though I've known them inside out. It's now within the week of them being missing exactly a year- we pray that they are safe from harm. I wouldn't say we have given up hope but after 100's of posters, radio announcements, paper adverts, emails & wild goose chases youdont want to think the worst. Stay safe til we find you boys.x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well it's nearly a year since these two babies went missing, owners have just coped with the 1st aniversary of the loss of her husband. It would be fantastic to find these two beforethe 1st aniversary of them going missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry but have got a bit behind with not logging on every day. The dogs had seperated the last we heard and we're also out past Penistone. Think the blk/tan may have started to back track as better food sources where he'd been. He his more bear like, very dark with tan legs. He's the youngest but as now been missing since last May, not sure if he'd actually approach anyone or just lie low. No other sightings or calls to owners for some time as we are in regualr contact & they ring me if anyone does contact them. Been back to Langsett today & only posters in toilets still up so will have to try get back there next weekend and re poster. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just back from weeks holiday & no news from owner. They've disappeared again. Agree with Nik as much as these two are missed at home , need definate sighting to pursue again. We will still be going to Langsett & other resovoirs in area on weekends but there are so many missing dogs that need help. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been upto Ewden village & done More Hall & Broomhead Reservoirs today, in the rain- lovely. Skye had a lovely time in the woods & then jumped in the res just for the hell of it- think she was a duck in a past life.Have postered around both walks. If these two are in the area some one somewhere is going to see a poster before long. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

For moment please do not use posters advertising ?1000 reward, owners will struggle to raise this amount. There is still a substantial reward. Nik is arranging for posters to be amended. I have different version saved on my pc if anyone needs it please email me murrelltc@ukonline.co.uk. No further sightings since possible sighting of white dog at Langsett but suspect that blk/tan dog will be moving back into same area. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news- some one somewhere knows where these guys are. It's been a difficult 1st xmas for Sue and her family. The dogs went missing shortly after losing her husband. Still checking web sites & papers but the longer it goes on the more we feel we'll never see them again. Would be fantastic to get them back for New Year Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have checked out the link that was sent up for 'giveusahome' such a shame to see so many beautiful dogs looking for homes. Unfortunately none of them were either of these two so back to searching Also emailed Last Chance & rung them but they didn't know anything about a White GSD!. They are nearly 300 miles away from where dogs went missing but we are following up as many gsd's matching approx age as we see/find out about. Will keep on at Last Chance as I did email them the distiguishing feature& Doglost info so they could look for themselves.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thankyou for last posting- if he's made it that far goodness only know where his playmate is. We still haven't given up, but as there's only 4 of us & we work full time it's difficult to keep up with emailing magazines, papers etc. If any one can help us it would be more than appreciated. I've been off the ball for a few days as my own dog has just had to have emergency op-thankfully after having his spleen removed he's slowly on the mend, but I haven't forgotton these two fellas who will now be 1 & 2 yrs old. Thanks for the posting.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If anyone reading this lives near 'REDBREAK' heading towards Crofton & has seen this man & two dogs can they please have a closer look & see if white dog has scar on his nose & blk/tan has birth mark on his tongue. At owners request names of dogs not on posters- hoping that if/when we find them they will remember the way they used to call them. It's been 5 long moths now. Thanks for all the messages- I'm in contact with owners regularly & the support is appreciated. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news or sightings. Having just returned from a weeks holiday I've not been able to get online. Printer & laminating pouches stocked up today. We still look out every day. I saw a chap in a nearby village with a white & blk/tan gsd but couldn't stop, as I was in rush time traffic. He may be totally innocent & walking his own dogs. Trying to get back to the area this week to see if he's around again. Cant stop hoping that we ll find them.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Baby No2 coming up to his 2nd birthday soon. Baby No1 had his 1st birthday last week- away from home. More posters now hitting areas around Castleford/Pontefract thanks to my new work collegues. BOTH dogs have distinguishing features- if anyone you know has aquired a new GSD over the last 3 mths (before that they were been sighted) please let us know. Both dogs are still missed terribly- especially this one who belong to mum & dad. Sadly dad passed away unexpectedly in Apr- this baby needs to be home with his mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

sUe I've pm 'd you. Thankyou ANY help is good I've only been on this site a few months myself, these dogs aere on my doorstep & no point been a helper if not prepared to help. Just to know some one else is out there & knows about them helps. They've got to turn up some where sooner or later. The owners haven't postered the distinguishing features but some one would notice a neighbour suddenly aquiring a new fully grown dog. Paul O'Grady starts again this week & he's been a real help in the past- I'm emailing him shortly. Thanks again for your interest-we cant monitor every single site & appreicate every bit of hel pwe get. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

thankyou Doglover, even though these two are not my dogs I 've spent so much time putting posters up & ringing around I feel like I know them. The owners still search daily like most people on this site with a dog missing. I'm just so thankful that mine have never gone where haven't been able o get them back. I've learnt a lot of lessons myself from this site-my dogs have always been chipped, registered with pet safe & when they couldn't been trusted to come back -kept on a flexi lead. It makes it harder that these two actuallyescaped & were'nt stolen. They were spotted within 2 miles of home but were gone again by time owners got there. It's heartbreaking but we won't stop Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Owl-see GSD1 post, it's so hard not hearing anything for this long, the Dearne area they were originally seen in does cover miles but the had been seen scrounging as well whcih they have now stopped doing. With the bad weather starting & the nights getting darker earlier we had hoped to get them back by know. Even if they've been picked up some one should have noticed a new dog on the street- especially one that's 3 ft high. Keep looking, postering & relying on the other helpers to keep watch out for them both.x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners checking out the found gsd-(see GSD 1 info) rescue won't pass on dog wardens number- they've rung 4 times so far & still waiting for warden to get in touch. It's a long shot but we're still out searching. All posters around Dearne hopefully to be changed over weekend as the weather has taken it's toll. THanks to everyone who's still keeping eye out for these two, given the fact they escaped and were been seen it's worrying that it's over a month with no sightings. The dogs have more sentimental value than money and it would be lovely to have them home again. Thanks to you all I know that Sue, Andy & Emma really appreciate what you have done to help. Leah- so rry I copied your post over to GSD1 & it transferred into my name somehow. Haven't been able to log on for a couple of days, but we are all very grateful for your help. I know this area does not have as many helpers as some others but everyone has been so good. The owners have driven miles, bus drivers have kept a look out, I've emailed some magazines but they haven't replied as yet. Still to do 'doggy & horsey' mags. I struggle during week as I work full time & have 2 -3 hrs travelling but do as much as I can.Really do wonder if they have now been picked up but with the amount of posters some one would have notcied a new dog on the block. Thankyou for all your help- if you need help mucking out at weekends give me a shout- it's 9 yr since I last went on a horse, that would be a laugh. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been looking in Rotherham/Dearne Valley/Barnsley areas ever since saw posters in May.Have been out on my horses round Wath Lake, good view from high up on horse but no sign.Walk my 4 dogs round there too, and also other sites round Rotherham/Barnsley.People are still looking, this is just too sad for words,I will keep looking for these poor dogs, going to Wath Lake at twilight tonight with freshly cooked chicken, if they are near there am hoping the smell of the meat will bring them out. Will keep looking in fields when I ride my horses out,I cover from Wath to Brookhouse,Dinnington by horseback regularly, please please show a dog lover where you are pups. These dogs are so young they have to be reunited with their family if there is any justice at all xxx LeahLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Tracy, they could have been picked up but it's quite possible that they are simply living feral. Once they have the knack of it they really fade into the scenery wolf-style and it can takes ages for a sighting. Over the past couple of days, 2 other Doglost wanderers have surfaced after not being seen in months, so don't give up. One of these is old Teddy, collie x gsd in Herts, who has been living feral for 14 months. He was last seen in November, nothing for 8 months, and then he was spotted on Thursday, easily identified by the white star on the back of his neck and the fact that he looks so hairy and unkempt. He is living in a relatively small area, but it has a lot of cover and finding him is like nailing jelly to the ceiling. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

To all concerned- there has been no sightings or news for over two weeks which does make me wonder if they have been picked up. There are posters everywhere. Where we go with the dogs we put posters in all the car windows & leave loose ones on car for people to take. Every doggy person for miles knows about them -we just don't know what to do next. There are not many helpers in the area & the ones there is have been really helpful. Dee, Jane & Phebe have been fantastic but at a loss what to do next execpt keep looking Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No sightings this week, back to waiting to see where they will turn up next. More hoax calls with requests for ?2000 to give dogs back, they ring saying they have dogs, then owners get calls to say dogs have been seen some where completely different. Thanks Jane-it's way too hot. Not sure where they're thinking of going next-really hoping they start heading back to Dearne as Dee & Phoebe have helped with tracking & finding of specific area to search. Ardesley isn't far but takes them towards more popualted areas-better for food but also more traffic & roads. Owners were going there to poster- im car less for a couple of days. No other sighting since vet saw one of the dogs. Will keep you informed. Both my dogs spark out into between the two doors enjoying the breeze. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not sure what weather you are having but where I am is hot hot hot. My white GSD wilts in this heat and is only active very early morning then he lies down somewhere very cool till the evening. Maybe you should take this into consideration when out and about. If weather is hot- early morning and evening may be a better time. Watching and hoping. Jane & BenLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dogs may be on the move again- suspected sighting of white dog in ARDSLEY which is approx 4 mile across fields from where we believe they have been recently. Back to postering area tonight- most of area surrounding Dearne/Wetlands/RSPB centre done over last couple of days. Was seen by vet so should be right breed of dog. (Prev call was two tri coloured akitas when they got to them) dog warden was arleady on route to collect. Will keep everyone posted. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been to Dearne today and postered the main section that's next to the RSPB centre. Owners had call to say they've seen them in ARDSLEY- approx 4 miles via fields. Also had a call from lady in Ackworth saying they were in her garden- turned out to be 2 tri coloured akitas!.Still tracking RSPB centre as ideal hide out areas & clean water-food source. Will update again when info from owners & new sightings confirmed Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners went to area yesterday- took 3hrs to cover about a third of it- they've scented around a couple of areas & left food-areas are away from main tracks & have flattened grass. They found the 'houses on stilts' that pyschic has spoken of-they are raised bird hides!. Some more info from pyschic today has been passed on & will advise how they get on with it. Posters have been put up- going back today late to do more as dogs laying low during day. Just want to thank the people who are helping so much & giving hope to the owners dispite been miles away. Lets hope we sight them soon. Will update tomorrow Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Everyone- Think the Dearne area is most likely place they are hiding out, no sightings for nearly 2 weeks. Owners scenting specific area following info via DEE who has been fantastic, Jane -thankyou for your hard work.Owners really appreciate the help from Doglost, they search daily for the dogs and postering like crazy. They put ads in Chronicle which covers a lot of the area and in Sheffield papers.Any bird watchers in Dearne area that use RSPB centre at Old Moor-please keep eyes open- this is one of the places we think they are. They have twice been seen near Dearne area- fresh water & food. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi everyone. Thanks Jane & Dee for pms. Local riding centres/ feed warehouses haven't been done yet. I asked Emma to re mail all helpers in WF postcodes and S70-S75 last week as they are covering such a big area & as they are on the borders of WF9 & S72 codes need to let them all know. Spoken to owners yesterday- they are still postering all Royston areas but this is not local so they do not know they're way about. They've had usual; crank calls but police are monitering & tracing these back to people so that should stop the saddo's. Owner has daughter in hospital so is searching in between visiting. Dogs have been seen in Dearne area which is Mexborough way, also back in Hemsworth where they went missing then aparently near golf course at Royston. I've postered every bin in Pugneys Water Park which is packed with people doing water sports & dog walking- did a couple of laybys on way back that are at side of bridlepaths. Owners appreciate the help & postering- trying to get more horseriders loooking out as we just cannot find them again at the moment-it's a week since they were last seen. Local travellers-on board & will contact owners if seen. Worrying that last sighting was over a week again but will continue to poster. Owners were in Selby (about 40 mile) last weekend & handed posters out. Friends went to Appleby Fair & no sightings or news from there. Will keep searching-Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As its the weeknd now and the start of summer events- anyone in a 50 mile radius of any major event near to these sightings should go armed with plenty of posters- put at car park entrances- ask at money collection points if they will put up poster and put on porta loos- always a q there!! If not already done other places to contact are postmen, dustmen, taxi drivers. Phone local radio stations. These dogs are still out there with all these sightings so need to spread the word and get the sightings reported to owners as quickly as possible so they can be followed up. Wish i was nearer to help but i am following this everyday and hoping they are reunited soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Latest sightings near golf course approx Royston a week ago, also back in Dearne area. Owners already started postering both but dont know Royston that well. I've done Athersley Netto, Pet shop & Pugneys water park- if any helpers between Royston & Wakefield can help would appreciate it.Both dogs still together on last sightings. Owners receiving hoax calls BUT have police on board & they are tracking hoax callers numbers. Both dogs appear to still be keeping to bridlepaths and fields so any help from horse riders/ of road bikers would be appreciated.Have been updating site as owners spending every night searching areas where dogs last seen Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had call from owners TWO POSITIVE sightings yesterday in HEMSWORTH- one near market, one yesterday approx 4pm at Hemsworth Water Park. Don't know how these dogs have made it this close to home without actually getting back but they're nearly there. Any helpers around WF9 postcode needed to keep an eye out. Owners at water park now but they are at least within a couple of miles of home as long as they stay in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've been keeping in touch with owners- had following info from them today-also police are taking matter seriously & investigating. Weve got an advert going in a sheffield newspaper in the next few days, Weve been round howell wood again today putting up more posters. Also put an advert in www.friday-ad.co.uk on their web site and also in their free friday paper.Dogs escaped from garden- all local farmers aware as garden more or less backs onto farmerland. They are so distinctive though- hope to hear something positive soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owners today- still no sightings but they will stay away from roads as they are not used to them. They live basically in a house in middle of a field. Owners have handed out 100's of leaflets- just about every pubs, postoffice, vets & shop has post in. I've done Tesco's at Wombwell today & posters went up within 5 mins of me asking.Owners went towards Doncaster last week & posters already on display so they are grateful to everyone who is trying to help. Just waiting on the right phone call now. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

See note on Dog1, will ring Dearne Valley Radio in morning, need to get more dog walkers & horse riders with local farmers to watch for them. They are doing well not to have been picked up- at least if they have been sighted we know they are still together, can't understand quite how they've got nearly to Rawmarsh & then back to Goldthorpe, they could from there back track towards Owl Woods & Hemsworth bridlepaths. Still carrying spare lead even though both my dogs are not keen of GSDs. Keeping doglost phone numbers on phone & walking mine on different paths to see if I can spot them. If anyone is able to do 'spot the dogs' on Sat/Sun I'm around.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Following message passed onto me via GSD rescue. As it gives some more information and possible recent sightings . Lets hope we can help.I have copied the whole message]]]]]]] I really hope you can help us. On the 29th of april my dad died with no warning, leaving us all devastated and my mam in total shock. Its took us 17 days to get my mam to leave her home in brierley, barnsley, we were out all wednesday 17th may morning and when we returned both our dogs had gone, mine is a white 17 month old german shepherd dog with a blue coller and my mams is a 8 month old mainly black german shepherd with a rolled leather coller( which my dad bought for my mam and is a big part of her life ) so as you can imagine she is in pieces and cant sleep or rest. She told me and my girfriend yesterday that if the dogs dont return she is selling her house ( a 3 bed detached ) and moving in to a flat, simply because she cant take it any more, weve been to all shops and post offices in the surrounding areas and given them all pictures of the 2 dogs, also phoned all kennels and vets, Ive also included all my money ?1000 as a reward to anyone who can help us locate our 2 dogs. My mam ( Susan Parnham ) meens more to me than anything else in the world and i just want to ease her pain by getting the dogs back asap, Ive been looking every day and every night searching for them. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP US. from Andrew. ive included some pictures of our dogs. Thanks for your time.ps the white dog has a small scar on his nose, The black one has a birth mark at the top of his tounge which can be seen when he yawns.he is mainly black with tanned legs and brindle on his head. There was a very possible sighting at netherhaugh near rawmarsh on thursday 25th of may. They saw 2 dogs crossing a road matching the description of our 2 dogs perfectly. and they were seen on saturday the 27th at goldthorpe. Thanks for your help Andrew Parnham Ps they should still be together and would be a loLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I will poster-up my area, dogs can get a long way from home. But don't worry because my dog got miles away and someone adopted him and then realised he had a tag and he got returned home safely! I'm sure your puppies will come home soon xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have checked around local area & posters everywhere. Going to check Grimethorpe as fields lead onto Grimethorpe woods. Think reward may lead to these two arriving home safely- hopefully soon. Have passed posters back onto local bus driver friend to notify people. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
