The tel no on the poster should read 01223 as the code. Someone has just been round here asking if I knew of someone who had lost a border terrier as one had been found in Six Mile Bottom - not far from owner, the person who found it took it for a microchip scan and they could not find one so he still has it - I have rung the lady who has lost it with the contacts number so fingers crossed it is their dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with Shelly: An unwell dog will find somewhere very cosy and concealed. Also look under bushes or places with a dip that she could curl up in.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

EmilyF have you taken posters to all your local vets? I f you are quite rural have you informed all local farmers? If she wandered and was feeling a bit peeky she may have took shelter in an outbuilding of some kind..a barn for example.xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Truckle had eaten some layers pellets on Monday evening and blew up like a balloon. She was sick in the night and when she was let out at 7am that was the last that we saw of her.She has been used to wandering to next door neighbours eying up bird tables etc.She is led by her stomach generally. She has a sister and we recently acquired a Border puppy who which she was pretty annoyed about! She has been acting quite strangely and for the first time only a couple of weeks ago disappeared for a few hours. She like to chase rabbits when given the opportunity but never has been down a hole.We have informed everyone we can think of,searched with gamekeeper in local fox/rabbit areas. She is really a home bird and never spent a night away. When she feels ill she stays at home.Maybe this time , having disgraced herself and with the latest arrival she has taken a different view. Let's hope for the best and thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry only just caught up with this. Emily - sorry to hear about Truckles. Can you explain how and where she went missing from please ? It may help to have a better understanding of situation if you don't mind.Is there any chance she's off on a typical terrier adventure as in rabbits etc ? I am local to you and willing to help if I can with postering etc.ShellyC our Doglost star as usual has emailed and alerted local authorites etc and Truckles is chipped and has id so well done.Fingers crossed.JxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
