Sadly wasn't scamp, the owner collected that lurcher the same night, thank you you beth for all your help with that :-) xx
Beth13
I spoke to them face to face & they told me, after they told me the same that they told you on the phone, that there was another nurse on at the time but she'd left a message for the nurse on night duty that the dog had been collected. After this I wont be taking any animal to this vet in the future. If the dog warden cannot collect from me before morning then I will make space for the dog to come home with me. I hope you find Scamp soon. I will keep looking out for him & text you straight away if I see/have one like him come in to my shop. xx
charlotte foster
Thank you beth, I have already spoken to u earlier, the vets r messing around and said they haven't recived any dog, I hope you get more answers from them then I managed to, I will have to take a trip up to Poole to clear this up otherwise, I really hope they haven't put him down, xx
Beth13
Hi, I took a lurcher very similar to the one in the photo to Walton Lodge veterinary clinic this evening. He is due to be collected by the dog warden in Poole tomorrow morning. I hope it is him. Here are the contact details.

I keep going backwards and forwards between Scamp and "Strayaid" site, there's a black lurcher on there found 29/12, don't think it's Scamp but photos can be deceptive. They get quite a few lurchers on there and on the re-homing section as well. It's in the North East but as you said your boy could be anywhere!!!
rabbitsmum
So sorry Spike wasnt Scamp. Fingers crossed he's found soon.

There was a deerhound x lurcher in Freshfields animal rescue site Liverpool, up to a few days ago. I have just checked now after seeing this appeal, and he is no longer listed, photo has been removed from the site, so I can't look back and see any info on how be came to be in their care. I did save a picture of him though as he was a double of one of my girls. Maybe worth contacting them on Monday to see if he could have been Scamp. He was listed at Freshfields under the name Malley. I still have the pic if needed

thank you for those comments, very appreciated, he does look very alike, but scamp wasn't tattooed so i don't think its him, unless his 2 top canine teeth are snapped, could of been tattooed after he was taken?

Longshot I know. On lost post 61054 Lauraine posted that a black and white greyhound had been picked up on A22 Godstone Surrey Rd and taken to Godstone police/fire station and she'd seen this on facebook. I find it difficult to tell the difference between both breeds some times and I've a retired greyhound who looks very like your boy except for the long coat. Hope you find him.

thanks fionap58 for the ideas. i have had the western contact me yesterday :-) and will be doing a story in next weeks papers,it the best news we have had so far :-) i will get on and email the blackmore vale now i forgot about them :-) every bit of help is highly appreciated, we never would of come this far without everyone's help and ideas, thank you xxx
charlotte foster
thank you lynnie, every bit of help will make the world of difference, thank you so much, the hotter the story spreads the more chance of getting scamp home. xx
Lynnie
I am co ordinator for BA22, can i help in any way? postering, searching etc? I am away this weekend but am around all next week? I so hope you have him back soon.
fionap58
Have you tried the Western Gazette? If he's not home by next week the stolen angle should get him a nice little spread, and the Blackmore Vale may also run a feature as they have a large pet/lost and found/rescue section. If you need any help postering I'm happy to arm myself with a stapler but can't print any out at the moment, permanent paper jam :-(
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
