I found a brown and white husky type dog in st Helens on Saturday, I have posted a pic on this site, I hope its yours, it was on its own
It is possible these guys could have headed towards Elton res, as they r often walked there this is a vast area surrounded by Bury and Elton,even the hills above Bury and Rochdale x
