That is really great news. I was really concerned for the him as he had just had the op on his leg. I really hope they are all recovered soon - that photo of them broke my heart when I first saw it. xx

In an absolutely remarkable twist of fate, and proving the power of doglost - one of our helpers was in the right place at the right time. Overhearing a conversation about a dog believed to be stolen, our helper asked enough questions to realise that this dog had to be one of the stolen dogs listed on the site - and persuaded the holder of the dog to hand him to her. A quick call to the office put them in touch with the owner, who drove to positively identify Paddy last night. Many tears all round and a fantastic reunion. It is believed that the other dogs are also in the hands of the theives and steps are being taken to recover them - apparently taken for their working ability. Well done helper, take a huge pat on the back, and welcome home Paddy. xxx
