Teddy's owner has seen picture of found dog & confirms that Teddy has only one brown ear & the found dog has both ears brown so sadly this is not Teddy x

There is a Jack Russell at Jasmil Kennels who has been found. I can't see from the photo if both ears are brown or just the left ear. This is the post which is copied from Facebook:

I have changed my post as there was a found dog on this site who really looked like Teddy BUT the found dog has both ears brown so cannot be Teddy as from the post further down on here it says Teddy has ONE brown ear. When I read through all the comments here I realised could not be Teddy but am still looking out for this boy. Sorry x

I have just read that the found dog at Haven Vets, number below is now with the local dog warden and someone has kindly offered to forward Teddy's details on to the dog warden however it might be worth also following up if you see this. I emailed the photo in to Admin earlier. Thanks

I have just seen this post on Facebook. #doglost found wandering in #greatyarmouth please contact #Havenvets on 01493416700 - there is a photo of a male terrier with dark ears and white everywhere else. A bit more rough coated than Teddy's photo. I will email the photo to Admin.

There is an official poster up at the bottom of Shawford Down (near Winchester) saying Animal Found by Ranger and a number to ring. Worth a try at least. It's not at the first car park at the bottom of Shawford Down, the one by the railway station drive along to the second car park and it's a A4 yellow poster pinned to the gateway

Thanks for posting the link, I don't think it can be him as the teeth on the found one look young, plus Teddy is all white except for one ear, and his coat had been cut.

can we ask owners to have a look at this link please? There is a found Parson Russell Terrier male in Aylesbury and in the photo he looks really dirty so is hard to see his markings properly.
Also they have shown the other side so again hard to compare markings. It also states on the found dog's page that he is chipped but further down says not chipped.

The car was dark blue and described to me as people carrier but I haven't seen the cctv. I don't think the police area treating it as a lead or appealing for it as a witness.
The owners have been doing their own digging and the Grandfarther keeps in contact with me, so jut because they haven't posted here please don't think they have given up on him, quite the opposite.

Teddy has obviously been stolen if he was unclipped from his lead. Car plate may be personalised or partial. Any other details such as make/model/occupants please?

Ref the number plate, there is a letter missing at the end, no such number as BVC 661 without a letter at the end ie BVC 661B. So the last letter could be any letter of the alphabet except for I O U and Z, which are exempt as they look like numbers. Any reg beginning with BVC was registered in Coventry.

Teddy looks to me like a Parson Russell Terrier - I am not suggesting changing it on here but has he got longer legs? Just to be able to check when I am looking on these rescue pages. Thanks. If not possible to get an answer no probs as his face is very distinctive.

No update yet except there is no evidence from the CCTV footage. It is unlikely that Teddy escaped by breaking free himself but if that had been the case there should have been sightings of him. It also appears the registration given for the vehicle is wrong or false plates were used. If anyone reading this was at the garage on the 13th and remembers seeing Teddy please contact the above number or call doglost on 08448003220 in confidence.

The main reason for posting reg. number with careful wording is in the hope our many helpers might spot it. Police have already tried to trace details- it was the first thing they did!!

If blue vehicle may have witnessed this incident, cannot owner be traced through DVLA, then contacted to ask if they saw anything. Chances of those people seeing doglost is remote. Surely police could be asked.

I have personally written to Hampshire police to ask them to consider the procedure Wiltshire Police have as they do log every lost/found dog and it is also in their procedures to advise the public to go to Doglost.
I have given them the contact details of the person that got the procedure set up in Wiltshire Police.

I spoke to the Grandfather of the owner of the dog this evening. He has put an advert in the local paper as well as contacting vets etc, he also went to a local show in Alesford to give out details but it is felt that Teddy could be outside of the Winchester area. He must have been taken in hurry as his very secure tied up lead was still out side the garage.
Teddy was only registered on here after the Grandfather saw DL's posters in the Countrymans Weekly.

Hi reggiemollieros, It was pinked on purpose by admin and has now been added into the description under other info.
As far as I know the dog was tied up outside the garage, so could have been taken inocently if someone thought it had been left.
I have asked the owners to update the page or let me know what has been done so that we can update the page. I have suggested searching within a 50 mile radius of vets/rescues etc as could have been someone passing through.

Was the car Teddy was in stolen or was he stolen from a car whilst at the petrol station and he was in another car? At first reading yesterday, it seemed as if he was in a stolen car reg as above however I see from above that the reg is for witness info only. Is my understanding correct?

Rescue Remedies and Terrier Rescue are the same group. I posted on their FB page and they have added to their forum which is fantastic as will reach a lot of people. The Murco station info was on here but it looks as if that info has been pinked out down below. I am not sure if this is a mistake or deliberate as it may have contained info that they no longer wanted released? All the info on Teddy has come solely from here. If there is any more info forthcoming it would be great.

I will share on Terrier Rescue/Rescue Remedies Facebook page in case he has been handed in a further distance away. They are a member of Doglost but wont get an alert as they are not in the postal area. I suggest you also get in touch with them http://www.terrierrescue.co.uk/ they cover London and parts of the South East. I am just worried as he is not chipped he might turn up a bit further away than local. They have a forum you could join and post photos of Buddy and let people on there know as well.
