Just an update for you!! My contact in Oldham is checking every day to see if there's any news on Jak and she's roped her husband in too!!! She works on site and is going to put posters up on site and on notice boards for you!! She's a star - cheers Jane and Pete!! Vic x

No probs but I'm actually having problems at the moment - my lurcher pup decided it would be tasty to chew through the main wire from the computer to the socket and nearly killed us all!! All I can say is it's a good job I heard the bloody electricity fizzing!! Not fixed as yet so at my mum's and her printer is broken and work have blocked Doglost website the miserable gits!! It's not like I'm shopping or booking holidays like every other bugger does (it's got my back up if you can't tell!) so unfortunately I haven't been able to send anything yet!! Gonna buy an address book purely to put contact names and numbers in for Doglost people, vets, sanctuaries etc in case he takes a liking to the wire again once I get it fixed!! However we do have a branch in Chadderton so I will forward a copy of Jak's poster to the girls up there! I know they'll look out for you!! Keep your chin up - I have a good feeling about Jak and have everything crossed for you as do Jasper, Benson and Woody!! X

sophielee - your Jak's owner?? I don't drive so what I'm actually trying to do is print packs of all the dogs missing in Manchester and send to vets, sanctuaries, etc to try and help get your doggies back! Otherwise I'm relying on people for lifts and it doesn't happen often! Ben & Buddy's owner has made a good point of newsagents, supermarkets etc but I've got my hands full with sanctuaries, vets and so on at the mo! I was hoping to have the packs out in tonight's post but unfortunately I'm a workaholic and had to bring work home! (Boring I know!) Anyway doing this keeps me busy and out of mischief (and the pubs)! I hope it helps bring him home!! I've off work now til Tues so gonna blitz everywhere with posters!! Keep your chin up!

hi sophie i see no news as yet of jack really sorry.i work at leonard cheshire, so told people at work to keep look out. few work colleagues live near work so there keeping a eye. i walk by the canal every other day but not seen or heard anything.. try manchester dogs home only a hunch as there wardens knock about the littleborough area often.. i lost my dog last yr and a guy picked her up and took her there.. good luck i will keep a checking..

Sophie, Get onto the paper and stress that dog theft is one of the fastest rising crimes in the UK and that they are often sold on quickly for quick cash. Make sure they know he's a baby and that dogs are also stoeln to order. Speak to the newsdesk and if you still don't have a pic, suggest they get a 'library' pic of a choc lab puppy. Let me know if you need further help.

hi sophie, get in touch with the rochdale observer, especially as you have children, they were great with me when fred went missing 1/07/05, and put photos of him in the express and the observer, every bit of publicity helps and the observer reaches a wider circle. keep up with the posters, make him hot to handle! as nik points out try radio too. im keeping everything crossed for you! love carol.x.

i have put posters up in littleborough centre hollingworth lake smithy bridge and a few lamppost would you suggest anywhere else i think he has been stolen no news and has been gone a week now its upseting today because we would have had him a year today please look out my children are devestated thankyou xx

Get the publicity going, let everyone possible know what has happened. Poster everywhere you can, newsagents with paypoints, pubs (particulary the less savoury) DSS offices, job centres, supermarkets and any where with high pedestrian passage. As they say make Jack too hot to handle. Hope Jack is home soon, but if you want reassurance please read the reunited pages. Good luck.
