Please have a look at this one http://www.fobk.org.uk/dogs/d2016126-oscar/
Possibly too old but the black spot in the middle of his white chest made me wonder.
He could have been chipped since you lost him.
Sorry if its not him, will keep looking.
Liz
There is still No News on Dippy, but have updated the poster and page in the hopes we will find him one day soon xxxLast edited: 2013-07-25 11:27:01 by Liz

we have a sighting of a black staffy running up and down belvoir road last night at 9.45 ive just had the confirmation of this, the only difference is that it was wearing a white necktie, so if anyone is in the coalville town area please keep a lookout even if its not him we can still make sure that another lost dog gets food and a warm place to sleep as soon as possible. Thankyou everyone Im feeling excited that maybe he is ok and trying to come home x x x

hi liz, i went on a drive armed with posters today, i have handed alot out on my way, any dog walkers i came across i pulled over and gave them a poster, this is were i posted hugglescote community centre, ravenstone notice boards, both sides of the traffic lights, snibston bosworth trail entrance, lots of dog walkers there, Measham ouside the co-op and on the carpark of the library, a few lamp posts along that road, handed out a few more posters, a few girls at the measham co-op took some. and out to Oakthorpe where i posted on the community notice board on church street, stopped and handed out a few more as there were alot of dog walkers. one said he worked near conkers so took a couple.i also added measham carboot group on facebook, and posted his poster on there. if you wish to add me on facebook im on that site.hope this helps in some way xLast edited: 2013-03-20 17:33:50 by jules1971

After a period of silence I have had 3 possible sightings yesterday but 2 were discovered not to be dippy however we still have one sighting of a dog answering Dippers description seen moving towards the estate behind the coop in Measham, it is a place i personally have little knowledge of but if there is anyone or you know of someone living in or around measham would you ask if they might have seen Dippy or heard of a dog fitting his description loose in the area. thankyou all for your help and keep sending me any possible sightings as you just never know. x

Liz tells me that both the farms are being helpful.

Bumping Dippys page due to new sightings. I wonder if either of the farms would be agreeable to setting up a field station to try to keep him going back?
Liz
Just to update, we have had several sightings of him in the grange road fields, either near the louella stud or near the grange farm. All is positive and if i can i will be scouting that area along with friends as often as i can. Thankyou and do keep an eye out x

Thanks rottie, very useful. Sorry we didn't catch up with him yesterday but at least we had a scent only an hour old so it wasn't too bad to follow, except on the top of Bardon Hill where he had gone round and round in circles a few times exploring. But eventually we found the trail leading away down through the woods to his home area. There are extensive woods, and Dippy can hunt rabbits and small rodents so he will be able to survive. Hope he will be home soon, and we are all relieved that he has moved away from the dual carriageway.
rottie
we have a concrete manufacturing works in bardon, will send copy of poster now as lots of lorry drivers in and out. really hope he turns up soon. x

Update, ... Another sighting this morning up in the fields behind Bardon Road Chapel., close to where owners were searching yesterday.

Wispa and I have arranged to join the search tomorrow, hoping to find which direction he took through the scrub.
Ellie
Update from owner. They were within shouting distance of Dippy yesterday at 5 pm but people tried to catch him and they said he looked terrified and ran into scrub bush and lost sight of him. This was South Lane near the Charnwood Arms.
Owners are scenting and leaving food as well as being out with in season bitches .

Have spoken to owners. Dippy escaped from the garden when gate left ajar. He is wearing a black collar.
He was sighted about 2 hours later on Bardon road near the Jet Garage where he was hit by a car and ran away limping into fields near the Birch Tree pub.
Owners have already rang DWs and rescues.
