Animal warden phone number 0845 241 7253 - I hope it is Lucy

Hoping that the sighting was Lucy and that you find her soon. This is really good news considering the scare over the weekend, 7 miles is nothing for a fit collie to travel over 2-3 weeks. Please keep a record on a map of any sightings to see if she has established a pattern.

We have been notified by East Devon Council that a collie has been sighted in the village of Alfington near Ottery St Mary which is about 7 miles from Talaton. We have been over there, but have not found the dog and have put up posters in the village and surrounding area.

Bumping due to reliable report that there was a black and white collie lieing on the grass verge close to on the A30 close to Lucy's home. The person who saw this was in fast moving traffic at the time so could not stop but thought she had been hit by a car. No body has been collected either by local authority or Highways agency. If anyone knows more please can you cotact the owners on the above number or Doglost on 0844 800 3220.

Wendy (who owner knows) has put posters up at Otter Nurseries. I don't know Talaton very well but have said to Wendy if you want to do a search of the area I'll gladly come and join in. If you can get a picture uploaded here I'll print them off and post around Honiton for you. I know you don't think she's gone far but you never know. Anything I can do to help just post .... I'm on here most days. Sarah x

Sorry to see that LUCY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (48018)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
