Thanks Rosso! With the owner and friend being away right now, your help in clearing that one up is very much appreciated! Many a dog has been mistaken for my missing Border Collie- Poppy, too, but we gotta check them all-just in case!xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sheba, the farmer is a friend of a friend and his dog has been mistaken for Jody once before. Josephine, the found Lab retriever is described as a young adult and Jody is 8 years old. Thanks for the info though. I will check anyway.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you checked on the found black Lab/ Retriver bitch found 8/06 CM22, Henham area? Looks like the found lurcher could have been the one sighted but cant be sure. Fingers crossed she and Poppy are being well looked after where-ever they are and get back to us soon, for happy re-unions all round.xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Rosso, how did you find that out and do you know which farm? If that's the case then this is most likely not to be Jodie. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

a black lurcher was picked up in Little Hallingbury at the weekend and found to belong to one of the farms. I wonder if there is another loose Lurcher out there that may be Jody? I do hope so.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

That's a lovely story. I know it does happen from time to time. I think Jodie must be somewhere safe, it's just the not knowing! xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jody's owner - never give up hope! There's a story in my local paper (Edinburgh) today about a little schnauzer named Mollie who has been missing, literally without trace, from her home since June last year. This weekend, the dog warden picked her up wandering the street not far from where she lives! She was well fed and looked fine except for not having had a hair cut in a year. Its thought that some elderly couple had been feeding her and making sure she was alright. And now, a year later, she is home! Gives hope to everyone! Jody will be home soon, I just know it xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Meli, that would be great. It was owner Sue's partner who thought he saw a dog like Jodie running along the road but he was driving in the opposite direction so by the time he turned round she was gone. I think it must have been towards the Sutton Arms, Hatfield Heath direction because he was going to Little Hallingbury from the Heath. The other sighting was behind Marsh's Farm if you know where that is (middle of Hallingbury), during the thunderstorm on Thursday evening. I'm going back to stables tomorrow to see if the girl is working for more precise details. How wonderful if it was Jodie after all this time! xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just got back from putting up posters and driving around. Spoke to riding teacher at a local farm that Jodie knows. A couple of the girls saw this dog bolting across fields near them but going too fast to catch. They said it looked like a lurcher type. We had dreadful storms on Thursday evening and that's when they saw the dog. There are so many fields around that area, I think its just a matter of waiting for another sighting. I'll display some more posters over the next few days. Please show yourself again whoever you are! xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Nik, I'm Jodie's owner's friend Donna and we have the original of this photo, so will forward it to you today. There's still been absolutely no sightings of poor Jodie. I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the hard work to put in to help people find their dogs. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The new pic of Jody came through. However, although it shows off Jody better, the quality was not good, and even with enhancement isn't brilliant.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am the owner of the Border Collie, Poppy, missing since 10/10, nr Epping. Maybe we can put our heads together on this one a bit. Papers might be more willing to do story on missing local dog-s rather than just one. Currently checking out sightings in Commonside Rd, Fern Hill area. I'll keep an eye out for her too. Good luck with yours! JoLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
