Urgent! Would someone be kind enough to check out the German Shepherd on Alfies Lost dogs on Facebook, please .. says it is not chipped .. but. No male or female stated either .. but maybe Ozzy's owner would want to check it out for elimination.

Sorry to see Ozzy is still missing. Over the weekend a male GSD was found and handed in the Darlington Dog Warden 0191-3780439(picture on their FB group) Apparently he was found on 17th Nov by a member of the public and he was still wearing a collar and lead, yet dog warden has confirmed that no one in the area has reported him missing, so might be worth checking out. Good luck and hope you have your boy home soon x

Ozzy's owner has contacted me to say that sadly the found dog at Cleadon Kennels was not him and has owners who are going to collect him today. So the search is still on for Ozzy ! X

Another very long shot but one looking very much like him is listed on Dogs Found and was picked up in a park in Slough. The A1 (M) does run between the two if someone had picked him up.

Bit of a long shot but the dog warden has picked up a male GSD in the Sunderland area and taken it to Cleadon Kennels SR6 (0191) 5292369. Have shared Ozzy on various FB sites. Good luck x

Thanks Sylvia, I've been up today to search but sadly no sightings. This is a huge woodland area and really needs as many people as possible up there looking. The directions below are perfect, as you go under the A1 walk about a further 5 minutes and it is at that point Ozzie was last seen. There is a blue piece of plastic laid on the fence to the right at this point. You will need wellies on.

If I understand the location correctly as described, I can give you directions.
Park your car in Felton as though you were going to The Running Fox. Walk down the slope (towards the War Memorial) and then go straight on up the hill. When you see the church on your right at the top of the hill, follow the path to the left across a field (sheep, usually)to the wood.
Give me a call if you have problems. Unfortunately I have committments most of today.
Good Luck everyone xxx

Unfortunately I'm not around to look for Ozzy this week but my thoughts are with you and hope he is home safe and sound very soon.

Thanks everyone.
There have been no sightings reported yet of Ozzy.
Owners have reported to all the relevant authorities and have postered far and wide and spread the word that he is missing.
Have discussed scenting information with them.
Really hoping for news of him very soon
x
Ozzys Dad
We were walking the woods again at the time of the accident, just in case Ozzy was still in the area, but there was no sign of him. In reality, he would be able to find his way home from there as I do that walk every day with him, but I keep returning just in case!

Have shared on Facebook. Hope he's soon found xx

Have shared on Facebook. Fingers crossed x

Where Ozzy was lost is very close to where there was a very serious accident on the A1 at 07:30 yesterday morning (Monday 12th). Lots of sirens and the Air Ambulance involved so he may have been well spooked.
I hope that doesn't sound disrespectful to the poor man who lost his life as a result of that crash. R.I.P.

Sorry to see that OZZY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (45187)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
