I can't tell you how delighted I was to receive the good news. This sort of incident is every dog owners worse nightmare.
I have just spoken to the owner of Floss. She was found this morning by people out walking their dogs crying in an hedgerow about 3 miles from the crash scene. She has had a vet check and is fine other than a few cuts and sore pads from running.
Floss's owner can't thank everyone enough for their help and kindness. she feels that without being able to get the word out they would never have found her.
Stay safe for ever more now FlossLast edited: 2012-10-07 14:28:00 by Ellie - Co-ordinator Leicestershire

Have been to embankment next to crash site tonight and met with CSWs. We have covered Shawell Lane and I moved towards Catthorpe. No sign but need to point out that the noise from the M6 is incredible at night. Really wish I could help with search but will be setting up show. Please note the farm buildings in Elm Lane are being checked daily by an RP member who keeps her horse there xLast edited: 2012-10-05 21:49:00 by JD

There is a search being organised by people who know the family meeting at Catthorpe village pub at 10.30 am tomorrow, anyone who can help would be welcomed.
Members of Rugby Pawprints have also searched today and spoke to the farmer who owns the land nearby and is being very helpful.

We have lorry drivers collecting from us using this route regularly so have put poster in our weighbridge office and also sent link to two haulage companies who regularly have vehicles travelling that way.

Spoken to owner, her vehicle was travelling northbound but as she herself had to be rescued she doesn't know exactly what happened other than Floss bolted in fright. Not sure if she was slightly injured. There was talk of a car picking her up from the carriageway but as yet no one has confirmed this.
Owner already doing everything possible to find Floss but I am sending contact numbers and advise sheets.
Please let Floss to be found safely soon.
sas2506
Floss was seen running down the carriageway shortly after the accident by a friend of mine. Unfortunately we do not know if she was picked up by anyone. Please, please keep an eye out for her! I think my friend was heading North and she was running in the opposite direction to the traffic, so heading southbound (unconfirmed, as he hasn't got back to me which way he was going!)
mathers22
How awful I will put her on facebook. Stay safe until you are found xx
