- Other Info wearing a pink collar, very wet and hungry PLEASE HELP US FIND THE OWNERS OF THIS BEAUTIFUL LASSIE DOG!! Found in the Moreton/Leasowe. She has a pink collar on and a scar/cut/scratch under her left eye, but I don't know if this is old or happened since she's been missing! She was a very hungry, wet and cold little doggy who has a warm place for now, but she needs to find her way back home. So if anyone knows of anybody who has lost a female lassie dog ask them to contact me! Thank you.

- I do hope this story has had the best possible ending.
Dear Tri's mum - I had no idea so many Rough Collies and Shelties were missing - its all too sad, and its wonderful that so many people are so actively involved in doglost and helping bereft and distraught owners. Thank you again for your thoughts of Sian. As you say, all paws crossed, and everything else crossed! xx - 2012-09-27 20:46 dewilliams42

- Could this possibly be Kizzy stolen from Ireland as a 9wk old puppy in 2009. ID 18622

- Thank you also to tri's mum for thinking of Sian. Still can't believe/understand how she could have disappeared so completely - not even a found collar. I fear the worst and hope for the best scenario - that someone chose not to contact us but looked after and loved her. She would be 14 years old now - not impossible since our oldest Lassie lady lived to 19. Still hoping to find out the truth one day and still can't believe it ever happened.

- Thank you so much to barney & ozzie's mum for thinking of Sian - if only this poor sad looking Lassie could be our lovely long-lost special lady. Has this Lassie been scanned?

- I feel sick to the stomach at the idea of this litle girl going back to her "owners". Don't forget that a chip is not legal proof of ownership. I would gladly make room for her here!

- Since when have travellers bought pedigree dogs !! I think this poor dog has been stolen from somewhere else probably as a puppy :-( poor girl needs rehoming to someone who will love her and treat her like the beautiful lady she is :-(

- Wonder if the travellers also have her parents if she is only a young dog? Can council's traveller liaison officer be asked to check out the site for other dogs (in particular pedigrees) ??

- Oh no not a travellers dog - such a pity they were notified! Naughty I know but sorry its how I feel. They just totally discard their dogs and don't give a damm what happens to them.

- we think this is more the Sheltie rough Collie as she's only a samll dog, also it's been confirmed she belongs to some gypsy's and this girl has been in Birkenhead pound on 3 other occasions. clearly not very responsible owners. estimated at being about a year old. and is microchipped also strange for a gypsy dog unless the pound chipped her on one of her visits there. she could be stolen when a puppy....but cant prove anything at the moment. the owners have been informed by the Birkenhead kennel staff that she has been found. will keep you updated if they turn up to get her or not. Karen xx
