This is wierd but there's a dog called Cooper listed at York RSPCA. Says it's a lab cross but looks uncannily like your dog. Says it's 3 years old but they might be wrong. But with no ID why would they call it Cooper. See http://www.dogpages.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=87411

Im in Doncaster next town to Sheffield. According to my kids theres been a black lab hanging around our streetsover last few days but sadly no collar. They think its a female. They enquired at shop and people seem to think it lives around here but is left to roam. I havent seen it yet. Will try to find out if it does belong to someone round here.

Cooper's owner can be contacted on 0114 230 4149. Cooper is actually a Labrador cross but looks more like a Lab.
