It has been crossposted on the friendlybearded collie forum that there was an article in today's huddersfield daily examiner today about the finding of Rita with a photograph. Unfortunately doglost has not been mentioned, but as the person who saw it on doglost and informed the Beardie Group I am sorry about this and would like to thank you and all the helpers who made the reunion possible

Am absolutely delighted to be able to move Rita over to the blue.
Local helpers and Beardies in Need have been absolutely fantastic in their support and help so a huge thank you to you all.
Well done to the family for all their hard work and special thanks to the man who recognised her from the poster and managed to coax her to him!!

Rita is just found. Young lad got her collar she went to him as had a dog. Very lucky as nr motorway. Pam is sleeping at her fathers with her tonight. Also the owner is due out of hospital in the morning. Very pleased. Rita will have vet check in morning. Many many thanks to all kind helpers xx

I have posted this on the Facebook page where AnneB was asking about vet email addresses. There are 2 websites you can use which will give you a fair few email addresses. http://findavet.rcvs.org.uk/home/ and http://www.any-uk-vet.co.uk/ the 1st one seems more up to date than the second one. Amy is there any chance you could tell any vets in the area about Rita, as she seems to have an injured paw when last sighted. Someone from down south is trying to contact them but most do not have an email address.

I sometimes take my dog up for a walk up there. I'll deffo keep and eye out!!! I live like 5 mins car drive from here!

Thanks Sue and Lynda for your kind help. I am very concerned about dear Rita and the area she is in, she need finding fast bless her. So more posters and leaflets need doing if anyone can help with this would be very kind. Ive been told today dog fighting go on in he area, and the pounds need someone to go there at least every 3 days to check as they wont know what they have and dogs are not kept. They are Mount Pleasant, Doncaster. Cliffe Kennels Barnsley, Flushdyke kennels, Ossett, Nr wakefield. Fleet Lane Kennels, Bradford.

We spent a few hours in the grounds of the college/school and then in the surrounding area. There seems to public access to the area at all times and there were a lot of youngsters playing in the grounds. The area then backs onto quite a rural area which would be much quieter for a worried beardie.

There are lots of opportunities to leaflet people and get posters up in the area though with a sports club close by and lots of people out in the streets and grounds out for a run.

I'm working tomorrow but can go out again on Thursday and Friday though fingers crossed she'll be home by then.

Thanks lynda for offer of help that would be kind theres also a beardie person coming to help this evening. Given info of what to do as need to keep her in school grounds and not scare her away. lots smelly food stations. if n old builing or shed in grounds maybe where Rita has been sleeping. Ive left a message re trap I feel this need setting in the grounds if shes not been scared away. Thanks for your help minigirl x

she will be very scared bless her heart. If staying in one area will need food stations, we do have many humne traps will look up to see the nearest. Hope shes safe.

Update: Rita has just been seen in the grounds of the High school on New Haigh Road HD3.
She is running scared at the moment and has injured one of her paws.
Any local helpers or sighters ....

The post code where Rita went missing from on Saturday is HD2 2DS But seen Saturday evening in HD3. All help with posters and search in area would be very kind please.

All info has been passed onto the lady. The owner of Rita only live a 15 min walk away from the daughters house where Rita went missing from. Ive said to make sure someone nearby can keep a watch out there nd eave food out incse she return. But the owner in hospital. Posters have now been started but still need more going up as without these wont set the sightings. Is there and beardie folk nearby to help please. Or doglost helpers ? As urgent help is needed.

Beardie in Need Organiser Shirley has been in touch with Owners daughter. Owner is in hospital and doesnt know.Rita was with daughter and was let off lead next to garden and ran away. Hi where abouts was she lost? Hd2 is a massive area so if you could narrow it down please. I live in this area so I can help search for her. Many thanks esslouis ps hope she is found soon and I will notify the local dog walkers I know. Xx
