Not being pedantic, just think there's a better chance of getting this lovely boy back if all the info is correct. Hope Billy is back home very soon!

Just changed it.
Hope Billy is safely home soon xx

Definitely an English Springer NOT a Welsh Springer (I've had nine Welshies ;-)) ) He's still down as a Welsh Springer in "other info"Last edited: 2012-09-14 14:10:37 by gwenhwyfar

The owner told me that he is a welsh springer spaniel!!!!

It could be someone has found Billy and thinks they can keep him. Keep your posters up and if someone does have him maybe a neighbour, relative or friend of whoever has him will recognise Billy and do the right thing. Good luck, hope he is home soon xx

I agree. Only just seen this. Looking at the photo Billy is NOT a Welsh Springer but he's an English Springer, so I've changed his breed. I've owned both and the Welshies are always Red and White.
Hope he's safely home soon xxLast edited: 2012-09-12 17:01:13 by goldenfrodo, Area Co-ordinator Wales and NW

I'm only writing this to increase the chances of Billy being found: This is definitely NOT a Welsh Springer Spaniel (always red and white). This is an English Springer Spaniel. I don't want this misinformation to lessen the chances of Billy being found.

No word on this for a while now, is Billy still missing?
Tigermouse
Did the lady say whereabouts in Bromley Cross the dog was? Just thinking that from Wayoh Reservoir it's possible for Billy to have made his way across Greens Arms Road and up through the fields in the direction of Turton golf club and the Last Drop.

Hiya, our dog paddy went missing on the 5th, we put up lots of posters, hes also a springer, fortunately we found him, we just havnt got around to taking down the posters but i have had a call today off a lady saying that yesterday she saw a springer going the bromely cross around 3-4 in the afternoon, ive informed her that its not our dog but it could be Billy! Fingers crossed for you x
Gypsy
Hope Billy is okay and home soon. Is it possible he could have fallen into a hole/drain etc? Or possibly had a fright and took off? x

Hoping any helpers in this area can help to find Billy. Can a search be organised to thoroughly check the area where he went missing. A hurt or trapped dog usually stays quiet so as not to put itself in danger as it can't protect itself. This could be the case with Billy. Praying this lovely lad is found safe and well very soon. Good luck x

I have spoken tonyh tonight. He told me that the place Billy went missing from is a area that they walk Billy and their other dog regulary.
On the day Billy went missing he was doing what he always does and thats running into the brambles, come out to check where they were then do the same again. They were walking along and stopped due to hearing a dog yelp, they looked around and couldn't see Billy so they went to the area that they heard the yelps but couldn't see Billy or any other dog. They searched the area completley, been in the water, check under brambles!! all over but no sign of Billy, hes not the kind of dog to wander off. They also go back every other day to check the area.
They have contacted DW, Vets, Dogs Homes, chip company, put posters up where he went missing from plus other places. They are doing everything they possibly can to find him! I have given some more advise and will send email with further advice, along with large poster and small flyers.

Sorry to see that BILLY STILL MISSING is missing.
If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held are up to date.
If you have not already done so contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, contact the Police.
Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green 'Find Any UK Vet' graphic near the top right hand side of the page under the 'latest missing dogs' photo.
A photograph of your dog is essential - if you have not already uploaded a picture, please do so by clicking on 'Update Details' above, or you can email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog, quoting the dog's DogLost ID number. You can also add comments and update your dog's status by clicking on the title bar at the top of the comments list. You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments.
You can obtain a 'MISSING' poster by clicking on 'View Poster' above. POSTERS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Start postering now!
If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, they can be re-homed legally after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres to look for your dog and give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
Please keep us updated by keeping your dogs page up to date and check for posts from helpers that may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings.
If your dog has been stolen please inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN) for the theft.
DogLost is free – anyone asking for money to return your dog is not working for us, and may offer fake photos as 'proof'. If you think we may have called you but aren't sure, please contact us on the phone number or email address at the top of our homepage. We can't stop criminals from trying, but we can confirm if we tried to contact you.
