A Message from Harvey's owner today. she is so distressed. She is unable to go out searching for the time being following surgery so I appeal for anyone walking in that area to follow the path of the River Soar and keep a look out. Any help postering in all areas would also be welcomed.

Jan, I can assure you everything is being done to try to locate Harvey. His owner and I are in regular contact. She is clinging to the hope someone has taken him in but there is simply no news or sightings whatsoever since the day he disappeared during bad weather.

Thank you both so much for searching. It is much appreciated. I have continued to put up extra posters around the village on potential routes home. Looking at the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust website on the Wanlip Meadows pages, he was last seen in the Snipe field, heading towards Rush Close. Unfortunately the River Soar was very flooded at the time. He has also been registered with the Highways Agency (though they are only responsible for the A46 in the area, but the Council's cleansing unit and dog warden have his details) and Network Rail who have given me incident numbers but they said they would contact the RSPCA so he can be scanned for his microchip. I won't give up until he is home. Thanks again xx

Ellie and I have searched the area today where Harvey went missing. Also put more posters up and spoke to other people who are going to keep an eye out. Dog walkers were looking at the posters, I hope that this brings some news xxx

Harvey went missing from the field just before the large bridge to King Lear lake. This field often has horned cows grazing in it & the River Soar runs through this field towards Wanlip. There is a metal bridge and metal gate leading to this field from the main path. He was jumping in and out of the river which was swollen and fast flowing due to the heavy rain. Thanks ellie xx

Horses don't use this park. I don't think there are bridleways but good idea to check stables in the area in case he may have taken shelter there and got locked in. Will alert them. Thank you again for your suggestions and advice x

I don't know the area at all, but wondered if the park is used by horse riders? If so, they might well spot Harvey, so make sure you notify any local stables and have plenty of posters up in the park. Hope he's home soon x

I am Harvey's owner. Thank you so much to everyone for all your help so far. We have notified the police, RSPCA, dog warden, kennels, vets, pet shops, groomers, cleansing unit, British waterways and the microchip company as well as postering the area. Harvey is much missed, our family is not the same without him. He is a very friendly dog and a confident swimmer so we are keeping fingers crossed that he will be found safe and well and can come home to the people who love him. Have spoken to Harvey's owner. He disappeared out on a walk after chasing ducks. She is doing all the right things. Have given general advice and am emailing her our contact numbers sheet and information sheet. She will forward a picture as soon as she can. Stay safe until you are found Harvey.

Sorry to see that HARVEY is missing.
If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held are up to date.
If you have not already done so contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, contact the Police.
Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green 'Find Any UK Vet' graphic near the top right hand side of the page under the 'latest missing dogs' photo.
A photograph of your dog is essential - if you have not already uploaded a picture, please do so by clicking on 'Update Details' above, or you can email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog, quoting the dog's DogLost ID number. You can also add comments and update your dog's status by clicking on the title bar at the top of the comments list. You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments.
You can obtain a 'MISSING' poster by clicking on 'View Poster' above. POSTERS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Start postering now!
If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, they can be re-homed legally after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres to look for your dog and give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.

If your dog has been stolen please inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN) for the theft.
