Justine
Thanks again to all of you for keeping us going at this end. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. Will definately spread the word about this amazing site and encourage everyone we know to join up.
Ruby was found in someone's garden in Ivy Lane, Gt Brickhill. The owner has two dogs of her own so maybe she was attracted to the doggy smell. When the lady took her into her house she made herself at home by jumping on the sofa and lying on her back!
Ruby has been checked over by a vet and she is fine except for a temperature which she has antibiotics for.
We are so pleased to have her home!!!!

So sorry to see Ruby is still missing. You are all doing a fantastic job, lets hope you get a sighting very soon or even better she is found safe. Please remember to check any unused barns, huts and stables in the area. If she is scared she may well have a little den to stay warm and dry in. Good luck, praying she is home soon xx
Justine

Brilliant - well done Lisa - if you get any sightings please make sure that time area & direction of travel are all noted - as fluffylegs said look for clues in the hedgerows of nesting or fur & if needed I have a dog trap in MK (that is a little forward at this point )

Forgot to say have posted on ITS A SPRING THING FORUM, for springers but love cockers too!!

well done!!!! see you there! People coming need to bring small high value treets like cooked sossij and a spare lead. slip leads are best in case she has lost her collar.Ruby will be very nervous and frightened so if you see her approach gently, best to crouch down quietly near where you spot her , with treat and allow her to approach.
Also good plan for people to split off into different directions then meet back at base say 12noon. Dont forget to take food for selves and a drink and warm clothing, feeling wet and cold can caue one to be distracted.
Look out for dog hair on brambles, we cant rule out her having got caught up by her collar.
Lisa may be a good plan to take a crate or similar in case she is sighted and too fearful to come close and you could put near with food and smelly items from your home, socks, doggy blanket..just in case...also carry similar with you.
Let rangers know of plan and dog warden.
We put some posters on nearby entrance to canal side yesterday and in the carpark, Rugged and Tough in Hockliffe, on entrance to Rushmere and a few bus stops in Heath and Reach, also post office in woburn and shop next door to it.
Lots of people walk their dogs lower down towards canal where you have postered in lay by so could you get a ROUNDUP RUBY poster down there... I havent got printer so cant put anything together, sorry.....
Justine
Lisa, added your message to my facebook and asked kind peeps to repost, x Justine

Roundup Ruby - a mass walk is being arranged for Sunday 10th June at 10.30am at Rushmere Country Park. We are hoping to cover as much ground as possible just in case Ruby is in the area she went missing from.

As many people as possible would be an advantage, so please come and help us.
We will meet in the car park at Rushmere at 10.30am.
Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Lisa x

have put Ruby on twitter + will circulate.

Ruby was spooked by a person riding a motorbike in the woods - she fled the scene in terror as the bike went past - owners were away but have returned next morning from their holiday to try to find her, she is only a baby - please check all deep ditches incase she has fallen in and cannot get out.
DogLostAngus
Have spoken with the owners -- they are doing all the right things - have given scenting advise and mentioned a coupe of avenues to explore - will cross post to all the local facebook & spaniel forums
Breezybrook
I have put Ruby's details on Breezybrook Gundogs website. I am on my way to my vet to put up a poster also. Fingers crossed she is found soon.

Thank you so much for all you are doing. Everyone is being so kind. Have been putting posters up in local places and even leafleted the houses surrounding the Rushmere/Stockgrove area. Will keep trying. Thanks again for all of your help and advice.

Hi Ruby's Dog Lost details were featured at Kensworth Doggy Training last night...so sorry to hear about Ruby..postering everywhere is vital.I'll get some printed today and take about later, you need to put them everywhere poss. woburn heath and reach lampost village shops round there. loads of people walk their dogs there. Have you rung Appledown rescue...talk to dog lost here about scenting..contact farmers..I'll also do what I can...dogs have been found with this concerted effort....Maybe get people together say on saturday, call it something like ROUNDUP FOR RUBY AND CAPTURE PEOPLES IMAGINATION AT THE SPOT SHE WENT MISSING... The absolute main thing is the psoters. will take them rounf TC feeds on sat and sun as they have a dog event on sat and horse event on sunday. I'll do hockliffe as Rugged and Tuff good on helping with posters.... go near where any foodie places are on the fringes of the park as she is very young annd may not know how to hunt but will scavenge from rubbish bins and key car park areas
Justine
Hi, thanks to all for looking, please, please keep eyes peeled as she is still not found :-(

We have added another picture of Ruby which hopefully shows her white patch on her chest - you can't see the choc spots on her white patch very well in this picture. All vets in local area have her details and I think I will send an email of the poster to those in the surrounding area just in case! Thank you x
snailmail
Just had a walk round Rushmore, whistled & called for her, no sign I'm sorry to say. Keep looking xx
snailmail
Good luck with finding little Ruby. I bumped into you yesterday calling for her up the woods. Like I said we're at Rushmere and Stockgrove woods all the time with our two terriers, so we will keep our eyes peeled for you. Try and keep positive. Wishing you all the best.
Emma
Have you stopped by the vets office in Heath and Reach? Might be an idea to put a poster up there. We'll keep our eyes pealed.
Justine
Thank you, we will try dog warden and your other suggestions x
Lurcherlover111
I know how you must be feeling - you need to keep the FIRE LIT!!! I lost my little girl last summer for 24 hours! I made business card sized handouts with her photo, name and my name and number and handed them to everyone I could. I also put up A4 posters everywhere and got the postman to deliver them to the local area where she had been last seen. Because I was out searching night and day, I got some leads on her and managed to track her route (bless her, she was heading home...albeit via NY!). Posters in local Vet surgeries, libraries and post offices are good too. Report her to the dog warden and check with local dog rescue shelters and police (not that they are that helpful, but they will give you details of any reported sightings). Will keep my eyes peeled. Never give up... Good luck little Ruby, come home soon xx
Justine
Thank you for your kind advice, you are right, more posters keep her in peoples minds and as you say too hot...we will be ringing wardens first thing in morning, thanks again x
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Make sure to check with dog warden tomorrow as they have probably been unobtainable over the bank holiday weekend. Also get up LOADS of posters to make her TOO HOT TO HANDLE - just incase! Too far away to help, but wishing you luck in getting her home quickly x
Justine
Unfortunately no news yet on little Ruby...we have put posters in and around the surrounding area, but no joy. Hopefully people will keep looking out for her and fingers crossed someone will call, thanks for the support of all that are looking.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
