Been thinking- put posters in centre of Chorlton and also those shops on corner of Mauldeth Rd W and Princess Rd and round Old Moat estate in case Bella has gone that way, down Hardy Lane and Barlow Moor and Merseybank in case she went that way. Ask Southway Housing if they'd put a poster up at their HQ in Didsbury since many of their staff are out & about & could keep any eye out for Bella, and lastly and sadly, ask the Cleansing if they've picked up any dogs that could be Bella. They keep a record of dogs that've been the victims of RTAs. I hope someone has her, sees a poster, and she's back home soon safe and sound.
Maggie
Thank you goldenfrodo :)

Sadly no news on Bella, they are still searching for her and doing everything they can to find her.

Only just seen this. My mother and brother both live near the Hough End Police place so I'll send them posters.
Fingers crossed Bella is safely home soon.

Just occured to me-have you gone to the police place at Hough End with the stables snd dog kennels? Ask them there-they have a social club on site too and they might put up a poster for a very local dog.The young Air Cadets train at Hough End too- don't know when they are open but they might keep an eye oput too.

Agreed,Maggie and Star- absolutely poster everywhere, especially in our area with lots of dogs and open space but also lots of housing too. With the long bank holiday on us the power of the poster over a realatively wide area can only help. I've emailed on Bella's details and have told other local dog walkers to keep an eye out. Maybe a poster up in school- don't know what the schools policy is but might be worth a try. Also a free ad in the Evening News-think they still do it- for 4 nights in lost & found, and get in touch with the S.Manchester Reporter to see if they csn do a short piece with a photo. That way, with all the posters etc,if someone has picked Bella up there's more chance of her getting home safe and sound.
Maggie
I have just phoned you Michelle but no answer, your maybe at work.

I did send Michelle information and advice in email first thing this morning, which michelle looked at. She's contacted DW, Vets, rescue and she's been going to MDH every other day to see if Bella is there but so far nothing.
You are doing a great job and im sure all your hard work will pay off. Maybe someones picked her up! Put posters everywhere!
michelle
Awww thank you so so much for your tips I will get some posters in the area as soon as possible. I have a little girl,12yrs old and she has been telling all the children at school and also all the kids in the area to keep an eye out for her as well she is so upset with losing her its awful...If i need some help ill message you if thats ok..If you hear anything at all please let me know..Many Thanks Michelle

I'll certainly keep an eye out for Bella. You need to put posters up on lamposts, at the water park,at Hough End,at the shops by Nell Lane,in Southern Cemetery- dogs do find their way in there-along High lane to the Meadows, in Chorlton/Didsbury and all the way up Princess Parkway too, including Asda etc. Ask the kids to keep an eye out-they always see and notice stuff adults don't- I haven't got a printer but I can put up posters if you want a hand. Leave a message. I'm local and happy to help.

Sorry to see that BELLA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (39923)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
