- Hi, this is a long shot but I have posted a border collie found very very similar to yours lost, but I think this one found is very young although knows working dog commands I have entered him on the found area, North east area found 4th November in the LS28 area. I know he's a long way from home but wondered if stolen and its been months since yours went missing

- Agreed- he does look like Tod, but the markings are slightly different. Finlay has some black at the top of his front leg which Tod does not have. Thanks for checking and posting this information though. Much appreciated.

- Thanks for contacting me KayDee :)
Sable, there has been a possible sighting of Tod on the String Road as you go into Shiskine. Baxter will be following this up tomorrow and I have bumped Tods page and sent the Scenting and Plotting instructions as requested, hope it helps bring Tod home :)

- Just wanted to add, the owner does not wish to think badly of people but it is suspected Tod has been stolen. He is a highly skilled hill dog and to buy a dog such as him costs a LOT of money. He may even have been taken off the island, perhaps to Ireland.
In particular people are asked to keep an eye out for working dogs, particularly farms/areas that have recently acquired a new, well trained collie. If he has been sold on the new owners may not be aware he is stolen. - 2012-07-09 18:07 Diane
- I spoke with the owner today as they enquired after a dog I'd found (that is now reunited). Tod is still missing. He now has a Facebook page though which we hope can be shared far and wide. Please visit and share: https://www.facebook.com/helpfindtod

- Sorry to see that TOD is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (39893)

- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
