There's a female Belgian Shepherd on Strayaid - says 2 years old but worth checking as they are quite rare? I'm not sure this girl isn't a black german shepherd actually, but here's the link. http://www.strayaid.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4533:ed094-12&catid=1:dogs&Itemid=21

Becky is stil missing and there have been no sightings of her at all. It is now known that there were a lot of travellers in the area at the time of her disappearance.

Thank you Claire and Jasper I will pass the info on to the owners.Last edited: 2012-05-10 22:32:33 by AlisonH

Hi, I know it's a 2-hour drive away in Bury, but could she be the female black german shepherd with tan markings on the animal wardens website (ref: 267037)? Picked up on 8/5. Might explain the lack of local sightings.

I met a gorgeous 4-month old Belgian Shepherd girl where I live, recently - and I thought she was a GS crossed with a sheltie (sorry, owners), owing to the beautiful bear-like face. Good luck x Last edited: 2012-05-10 12:39:27 by Claire and Jasper

Still no news or sightings of Becky. Carley has spread the word to all her contacts in the Belgium Shepherd world. Biggest worry is that not everyone will know what a Belgian Shepherd Tervuren is and she may be mistaken for a crossbreed.

Just spoken to the owner and it seems Becky is very good at opening doors and managed to let herself out of the house around 6am yesterday morning. Even though she lives in a small village there has been no sightings of her at all. However there was a scrap metal man in a white van in the area both yesterday and today. She is a very friendly dog. Owner does not have internet acess at the moment but is going to try and get a photo to us later on. An appeal has gone out on Lincs FM and she thinks her son has contacted the dog warden and rescue kennels.

Sorry to see that BECKY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk

  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
